If the place is termed into a museum, my humble appeal is that the place should not be run by only the state. It shall rot in no time. It should be by the state and a private enterprise which should be made to contribute a lot to make the place attractive to visitors.

What the Zongo people need is encouragement for a little more formal education, and development. Let me be plain here that if the Zongo community are sometimes PATAPAA,it is the politicians who made them so.
I lived in a very big village in Ashanti region during my formative years. The intermarriages and the cordial relation between the Zongolese and the townfolks was remarkable. Never did I hear a fight between the two communities. So it is at my hometwn Koforidua which has the most beautiful Zongo town than all towns and cities in Ghana.
If NPP wants to win the Zongo votes, then they have to go to the drawing table and see where they have been going round. By this posting, I know I have shaken the hornest nest and the insults will follow.

The Gas ,who are immigrants from Yoruba, settled in small areas in the region just like the Hausas did by creating Zongos on the outskirts of major towns in Ghana. Both the Gas and Hausas all immigrated to Ghana from Nigeria. After the Greater Accra Region was created by the British Empire, the Gas cunningly took over the land as theirs.

This is the main reason why the Gas are cramped in very tiny areas of Accra like in a Zongo.

It would cost a lot of money and would yield handsome returns if we are serious about it. The Ga Dangbe Youth Association should send their youth to school to specialise in the field if they desire to have a say in the affairs of the Museum if it is set up. Because it would not be run on tribal lines.Presently we cannot even manage the National Museums. Lets get serious.

I think what would keep Accra clean is if you are a Ga and you see a villager crapping by the roadside or the beaches you should cut off their body parts as a symbol to prove that the Ga people are not filthy and believe me the crapping and the filth will definitely stop.

The state does have a Museum Management Board responsible for the managing these things. You can pressure to ask for employment of the youth in their greater numbers as long as their skills qualifies them just like anyone else from any part of the country.
