I know the accused is innocent until proven guilty but from what I have heard of and read about the plight of Ghanaian women in Arab countries who were deceived into travelling there, she is part of the problem and must have benefited from it. I once heard in an interview with one of the trafficked women on Focus Radio mentioned a woman called Princess as one of those who arranged their journey with promise of work in a hotel but she worked as a domestic slave without food and break for hours. She is a woman and should be protecting women but instead she is trafficking her fellow women and profiting from their misery in foreign lands. What a shame?

Just ask the Filipinos who can tell you a thing or two about how sadistically hard-working low-skilled immigrant workers are treated in such countries. Even though Islam is against racism; Arab countries in particular can be incredibly racist.

Fellow Ghanaians, some of the ladies she took have not made it back home, others have managed to make it home with both physical and mental scars. In any business with Ghanaians you must be very clear of any risks. Otherwise, when something happens negatively you can quickly be demonized. Unfortunately, the truth of this matter is somewhere in between but as usual, since nothing is in writing here, anyone can make an accusation and Ghanaians will definitely believe it. Sometimes it is better to lose business than paint a rosy picture in order to get the customer/client. In the end, whatever money was made in the beginning is not worth it. The customer can say anything they want to say.

It is on record that a Philippino woman employed as a house held in Bahrain was subjected to torture by her employers with nail hammered into various parts of her body. With this information at the disposal of our Immigration Department I can not come to terms how they allow Ghanaian women to be recruited as domestic servants to the Gulf.
It is also on record that the people and governments in the gulf, made up of Fundamental Islamic monarchs do not respect the dignity and sanctity of the life of the Negro. The Immigration department and therefore the Ministry of Interior which it falls under must not pretend that they do not see or hear what comes from the Persian Gulf.
We must put our act together and those who granted the permission for the women to be recruited to the Gulf must as a matter of course be punished together with those who recruited women to the gulf.
