It is not only immoral, it has a disastrous knock-on effect on life and a drain on resources. In countries where homosexuality is openly practised, HIV prevalent. And I'm sure the President knows this! He must, also, remember that Ghana is a heterosexual society; it has been like that for donkey years; it is not for Mahama to change this; we don't want to mix this natural tendency with homosexuality, it polarises our society and pollutes our national tendencies. Unless, Ghana has the resources to deal with the side-effects of anal sex, it should do all it can to discourage the practice of it. We all campaigned tirelessly for you as a man who fear God, morally sound, listen to the voice of the people, peaceful and even as the Joshua of our Time. But your recent nomination of Oye Lithur for minitry of Gender, Children and Social Protection means you want gays and lesbians to be protected.

God detest homosexuality and bestiality and that is why the world in the days of Noah were destroyed with flood. Sodom and Gomorrah were also destroyed with coal and fire because of this evil practice.

Mr. President we voted for you to protect the societal norms, values and ideals of God in our most cherished country Ghana, and also continue the excellent works that our late father, John Evans Atta Mills left. After decades of independence, it is really shocking to note that a cross section of Ghanaians are still politically immature.

When you exercised your franchise by electing people into the legislative assembly, you were by implication delegating authority to them to take decisions on your behalf. It was a form of social contract whereby out of omissions and or commissions, they will pursue your interests which will at times be at variance with that of a minority. At another time, the inverse will be the case. The interest of all people cannot be met at all times.So just stop your huffing and puffing because your representatives are exercising the mandate you reposed in them. If parliament should bow to public sentiments every time, what sort of country will eventually emerge.

Every person's rights are guaranteed under the constitution. According to research reported in the TIME magazine many years ago, homosexuality is the result of malfunctioning of cells in the brain during the first nine months of a person's formation. With this as a point of departure, a person's sexual orientation is not a matter of choice or an acquired bebaviour. This is purely circumstances beyond his or her control. The insensitivity of human beings translates into the disdain for others with physical defects which are purely genetic, and not of their choice. I do not think given the chance by God, anybody will opt to come to this world with any form of deformity knowing very well how these could limit their wholesomeness as functioning human beings.

By the way who has ever taken a census to determine that all Ghanaians are homophobic? Those who are prone to talking in the plural on behalf of Ghanaians on issues should learn to speak for themselves.

Weak and ineffectual leaders like him as well as America's Barak Obama tend to avoid tackling major issues such as economic deprivation and concentrate on minor but high profile issues like the gay ones- thus they appear to be "progressive".As Abraham Lincoln said "You can fool all of the people some of the time ; you can fool some of the people all the time but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time".
THE NDC GOVERNMENT MUST NOT BOW TO EXTERNAL PRESSURES FROM LEADERS OF WESTERN SOCIETIES THAT HAVE HAD THEIR DAY AND ARE NOW IN RELENTLESS DECLINE MORALLY AND AS WELL AS ON ALL FRONTS.
