Gideon and GYEM team count on me for unconditional support. Expect a call from me.
Consider the following Accra Waste Math as well:
Of the 2,500 tons of waste generated in Accra per day, calculate the percentages that constitute Paper, Plastic, Metal, Glass, Compostable Items, E-waste, and Other (Non of the above)
If we are able to separate the recyclables and the compostables from other waste, we'd be left with less municipal solid waste to landfill and or incinerate, which is the more sane and ecological thing to do. The compost can generate a rich source of humus for community and neighbourhood gardens as income generating ventures.
The environmental power shift is feasible, Gideon et al., let's do it!

Marcus, Gideon and co, can we have a business plan, raise the money through shares and other means and do our bit for Mother Ghana? Maybe the Ecobank Bank in Lome may fund this project?
Just look at the Flagstaff House, the huge roof, and Government could not ask the Indians to have solar pannels on it; check the Defence Ministry, and now the new Foreign Affairs Ministry! Solar, solar and wind would help us, no new estate houses without solar.... God bless Gideon, Marcus and co and give us the strength to take this idea forward!
Hon Hannah Tetteh get the solar pannels on your Ministry!

Bra KB, everything you've stated is doable, we just have to get organized and do it.
Awareness is always the first step toward any change. If you are not aware of something that is not working, how can you change it?
Gideon and the GYEM team has clearly used The Accra Waste Math to demonstrate that the nation has a serious waste management problem.
Environmental awareness and consciousness should be our goal.

The pollutants in Ghana pollutes the environment not caring about the end result however we must check this PRICE FOR POLLUTION. Mr government please let those who cause the pollution pay for its effective management which will benefit the government and generate employment at the same time. the government can not ignore this Movement's (Ghana Youth Environmental Movement (GYEM)) idea.

Gideon has once again come up with an article that espouses the benefits of environmental protection in general and renewable energy in particular. This article provides the most credible assurance that the youth of Ghana are not only environmentally conscious but also that they are daring, as far as taking appropriate measure and adopting viable solutions is concerned.
