NDC, go tell Agbesi Woyome that baloney.
The NDC has fooled itself and its foolsoldiers with the belief that Maaame/Daaavi Ghana's monies belong to them.
Because discerning and sane Ghanaians never went out on the streets to demand a new govt when NDC foolsoldiers started stealing Public Toilets,Lorry Parks,Markets,Tolling Booths,e.t.c. and stole over $600 million under the cover of Judgement debts with Agbesi Woyome alone collection a cool GHc52 million from that booty, the notorious dirty criminals(NDC)are gotten bold enough now to even attempt to withhold the salaries of all NPP members of parliament even though only 11 members of the appointment committee are boycotting the vetting process.
Hahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahaaaa!
Bring it on , NDC !
And you will have to vomit the monies collected when you boycotted parliament, because one of your fellow thieves called Abodakpi was jailed by a court of law for stealing monies belonging to me and my fellow countrywo/men.
NDC members must be prepared to vomit the salaries collected when they boycotted the passage of the National Health Insurance Scheme bill into law.
If because 11 NPP members of the appointment committee are boycotting the vetting process, so all NPP members should not be paid their salaries, then all members of the govt must be jailed for aiding Woyome and other NDC cohorts to Corts over $600 million under the cover of dubious judgement debts.

It is not only the 11 members sitting on the vetting panel who insisted that John Mahama is illegitimate president but the whole NPP party that is why the NPP is at the SC. If not; why is the NPP at the SC? So how do get a pay check from an illegitimate president? This means the NPP MPs are receiving fraud money from a president you consider to be unlawful. But this same unlawful president has been sworn in by the chief Justice as legitimate, so what makes you think that JM should sign a check for MPs whose party assumes he is not the legitimate president? I mean this is grotesque. Julor stop confusing the NPP foolsoldiers. It is time to get real.

Stop confusing yourself, Nana Ansah !
John "Jacob Zumah" Mahama(first president of Ghana with 24 children from 11 women)is not paying any NPP member of parliament from his pocket, or from our stolen monies deposited in NDC accounts.
Until the Supreme Court clears him of the crimes that every discerning Ghanaian knows that he is neck-deep involved(i.e. election fraud),we shall still consider him an illegitimate president.
Attempt by the NDC to use the security forces to raid the offices of the NPP research center to forcefully seize evidence related to the election fraud, and the subsequent burglary that took place at the office of lead counsel of the NPP legal team, are all indications that the NDC is a criminal entity afraid of going into opposition to account for its stewardship.
The only political party in the country which is so power-hungry that election-rigging and vote-buying , is part and parcel of its strategies to win an election is the NDC.
When over 90% of Ghanaians rejected the NDC in the 1992 referendum and opted for a multi-party democracy under the current constitution, the NDC immediately metamorphosed itself overnight into a political party and became the linesman, referee and a player in the 1992 elections.
We discerning Ghanaians with the memory of an elephant have not forgotten how the NDC and its Afari-Gyan for the first time in the history of elections decided to use opaque ballot boxes.
We have also not forgotten the 1996 election rigging by the NDC which finally resulted in the Courts quashing the Ayawaso-West Wuogon results and declaring George Isaac Amoo as the winner some few months before the 2000 elections.
If Agbesi Woyome can be paid millions of dollars for no work done by the Mills/Mahama govt, then NPP members of parliament have every right to claim what is theirs.
That said, Nana Ansah, are you not ashamed of refusing to comment on the mega-thievery visited on Ghanaians and Maaaame/Daaavi Ghana by this NDC govt within just 4 years ?
Over $600 million gone through the wind under the cover of judgement debts with Agbesi Woyome alone getting GHc52 million out of the booty.
Any you are the only ex-Young pioneer who never heard about it.

Minority MPs to “walkout” on Mahama’s nominees but are not ashamed to take pay check signed by him. What a bunch of hypocrites!
Where in the world do you get paid for no work done. Only inside the NPP crook world and only in Ghana.
Here is there cheap logic for walking out:
“The action will be in keeping with our resolve not to help President John Mahama form his government in anyway,” the source said. “We strongly believe the NDC did not genuinely win the 2012 elections and that is why we are at the Supreme Court asking the Judges to overturn the results declared by the Electoral Commission.”
Without giving away too much detail, the source said: “I can say with certainty that we, in the Minority will not be part of the debate and we will also not take part in the vote on the nominees.”
The source said the leadership of the Minority “will meet later today to firm up our plans.”
The NPP world view is either our way or the highway. Absolutely abominable creatures! Very creepy and dreadful way of looking at things.
Julor, what we should be doing as Ghanaians is condemning these fat largesse these MPs are awarding/rewarwing themselves without lifting a finger. This is backdoor stealing which must be stopped. This is where discerning Ghanaians irrespective of the colour of your party must take a stand against this daylight robbery. Let our voices be heard loud and clear that this behaviour of MPs serving themselves before serving we the people of Ghana is outrageous and inacceptable.

Senior citizen, I think rights come with responsibilities. You have right to boycott your employer's call for duty; but you have responibilities when refused payment. Of course, MPs are employed by the people of Ghana to work for them. I think there should be a pro-rata pay deduction for each parliamentary duty they fail to partake. If you really are in Germany, you would note that for each day you fail to go to work whiles on strike (or boycot), you don't get paid - it happens in UK where I live.
In any case, I don't think that the president is able to do this; it is not unconstitutional and it is not dictatorial. It is purely goodwill that doctors, nurses, teachers, etc get paid while on strike just so it helps with negotiations because their roles are difficult to fill. MPs beg us to vote for them so that is not a hard post to fill.

This is the beginning of another dictatorship of an 'elected' president who now wants to bypass the constitution and law of the land and supplant them with his own version of what the law is.
These Mps are exercising their right of protest under the law and constitution which they are allowed; they are not breaking any law, yet Mahama like Moshni of Egypt, wants to usurp more powers to do what he likes simply because the democratic process is not going his way.
Any attempt to subvert the will of Ghanaians under the present democratic dispensation will result in catastrophy and we will be taking steps backwards; a recipe for the military to step in and organise another coup d'etat.
I hope Mahama and the NDC can see that coming if they take illegitimate steps to surpress protest

Dan, there are no rights without responsibilities. The fundamental question is, why are they being paid? To work!!!. You don't get paid for no work done; you get paid for putting in some hours (that's how they say it in the UK). When you go on strike in the UK (and it doesn't matter who your employer is and why you are on strike) you lose the day's wage until you are back to work. And just remember, no labour laws say you can't strike; likewise, none at all enforce your employer to pay you while on strike, just go and check. People get paid while on strike in Ghana out of goodwill and to help with negotiations especially where the type of skill is difficult to find (like doctors, teachers, etc). MPs are out there begging us to vote for them, so that is not a difficult post to fill.
having said this, I still feel the president's hands are tied up and will not be able to stop the payments, unfortunately.

Do you sincerely believe that almost 1/2 of the population are foolish by describing the NPP as foolish people. Read the constitution over and over again and note that the president is not a paymaster of parliamentarians because he is not their employer. This write up by herald is a mere propaganda to brainwash people like you. In kufour's time the ndc opposed the NHIS bill and walked out of parliament any time the bill was brought including the current president who was then an MP for bole-bamboi, but yet no one block their salary because it was even impossible to do that and unconstitutional.

The facts: Parliament is on recess as we comment.Only eleven NPP MPs were due to participate on ONLY ONE of several committee of the house. If they decide not to attend the sitting of the committee of appointments, so what?It is their legitimate right. I for one dont believe that the President, who has been an MP before, can even begin to think about withholding any MP's salary. Mind you when Mahama was in opposition as a member of parliament during the kufour era he together with the ndc mps walked out of parliament when the NHIS was brought to the house because they opposed it and kufour was determined to implement the NHIS which is benefiting people like you. YOU NIMA DUD. DO YOU KNOW THAT THA NPP SIPHONED MONEY TEN TIMES MORE THAN WHAT WAYOME WAS PAID JUST IN ONE FINANCIAL A YEAR? READ THE AUDITOR-GENERAL'S REPORTS AND YOU WILL FEAR FOR THE COUNTRY HAD NPP WON THE ELECTIONS. SIMPLE FINANCIAL REPORTS WERE MUDDLED UP JUST TO ALLOW UNINTERRUPTED LOOTING. BILLIONS OF GHANA CEDIS WERE ALSO STOLEN DURING THE RE-DENOMINATION AT THE BLIND SIDE OF OFFICERS WHOSE DUTY WAS TO RELEASE MONIES. NDC OR ANY PARTY IN GHANA FOR THAT MATTER IS A SAINT COMPARED TO NPP. THE REPORTS OF GOVERNMENT FINANCES WERE NOT PREPARED BY PARTY MEMBERS OF ANY PARTY BUT BY THE CONSTITUTIONAL BODY CHARGED WITH THAT RESPONSIBILITY. IN THE ADVANCED DEMOCRACIES WHERE THE RULE OF LAW WORKS,MANY FORMER MINISTERS INCLUDING FORMER PRESIDENT KUFFOUR SHOULD HAVE BEEN COOLING OFF IN JAIL. IN GHANA NOTHING WORKS THE CORRUPTION IS ENDEMIC. EVEN THE SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAMME WAS ANOTHER CONDUIT PIPE TO STEAL SO FOREIGN DONORS WITHDREW THEIR SUPPORT WITH KUFFOUR AS PRESIDENT. THE 8 YEARS WAS NOTHING GOOD FOR THE PEOPLE OF GHANA. DRUG TRADE TOO GOT S BOOST FOR THAT PERIOD. SO STOP TALKING BLOWING HOT AIR BECAUSE YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE COMPUTER. IF GHANA IS NOT BENEFITTING FROM THE VAST GOLD RESERVES IN THEIR OWN SUB-SOIL, THE CASE OF THIS GOLD INTERCEPTED IN TURKEY WITHOUT PROPER DOCUMENTATION IS ONE OF THE PLETHORA OF REASONS WHY.
EVEN CHINESE AND INDIANS HAVE SMELLED GHANA'S GOLD RESERVES AND TRAVELLED THOUSANDS OF MILES TO GHANA FOR THEIR SHARE OF OUR GOLD RESERVES.
TODAY WHEN YOU VISIT DUBAI AND THE REST OF THE MIDDLE EAST OR THE WEST, YOU'LL NOTICE ALMOST ALL THE GOLD JEWELLERY SHOPS THERE BELONG TO INDIANS.
MELCOM ELECTRONIC RETAIL OUTLETS IN GHANA ARE JUST "FRONTS". THEIR REAL BUSINESS IS THE SIPHONING OF OUR GOLD OUTSIDE WITH, OF COURSE, THE CONNIVANCE OF GHANA'S "LEADERS" AND CUSTOMS OFFICIALS.
YOU'LL NEVER SEE A SINGLE GHANAIAN OWNER OF A JEWELLERY RETAIL SHOP IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND PARTS OF THE WESTERN WORLD.
MY QUSETION IS THIS:
WHERE DID THOSE PEOPLE GET ALL THAT GOLD FROM?
OF COURSE FROM GHANAIAN CHIEFS, POLITICANS LIKE KONADU AGYEMAN RAWLINGS, SUCCESSIVE ASHANTIHENES AND OTHERS.
THESE ARE THE PEOPLE DUMB GHANAIANS CALL "HONOURABLES".

Accra, Feb. 14, 2007: GNA - The minority National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Wednesday said their boycott of Parliament was to show their loyalty to the Party.
Mr Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, General Secretary of the Party, told press conference in Accra that the 1992 Constitution also states that no one should be disloyal to the party.
He said neither the president nor anybody could be disloyal to a party and continue to belong to it.
"Immediately anybody decides to abandon his/her party, his/her seat becomes vacant.... We should not be looking at the role of Parliamentarians as only representing their constituencies, but the entire totality of Ghanaians," Mr Asiedu-Nketiah told the press conference, attended by party stalwarts including Professor John Evans Atta Mills, the party's flag-bearer for the 2004 elections.
The NDC press conference, chiefly addressed by Mr Alban Bagbin, Minority Leader in Parliament, was in reaction to the State of the Nation address presented by President John Agyekum Kufuor to Parliament on February 8.
Mr Alban Bagbin said the party was yet to take a decision on when to return to the House and asked Ghanaians not to allow mischief to poison their understanding of multi-party democracy.
"We don't operate independently from our party," he said, adding that the argument that the MPs who had been boycotting parliament should not be paid their salaries showed “a serious ignorance".
Mr Bagbin said no law prevented MPs from boycotting Parliament and the party had the instrument of appeal, boycott and demonstrations to ensure that justice was done

I 'm happy that at long last someone has come out to let npp parliamentarians to know that they cannot take Ghanaians for granted. It is simple and clear that if they choose to support only their party and ignore Ghanaians' interests, then it is time for them to lay down their tools and follow their party's court case until supreme court renders its final decision. This also means that they must not receive any sorts of compensation for work not done. This is robery and stealing. The behavior of npp depict their motive of forcing themselves to come to power and do nothing but to steal. Ghanaians have suffered enough from npp and ndc stealing habits. I recommend that a new political party must be formed by Ghanaians living abroad to come and redeem Ghana from those people who only seek their own selfish interest.
