By African standards, therefore, Ghana's 2012 general elections were "FREE AND FAIR".

Yes, there were challenges for the EC during the elections and many of us were disappointed but to say that the 2012 Elections was the worst since 1992 is without foundation. Again, the fact that his party claimed voters assure the party that they will vote for him but that did not materialised at the elections, is a sign of Nduom's lack of understanding of the Ghanaian voter. The Ghanaian voter will offer any candidate his/her vote in your face but that is really not their real intention. That is done only to secure a favour from the politician. Nduom should grow up in his politics.

A man who confesses to be Nkrumahist but champions the splintering of Nkrumahist parties to enable him run as a flag-bearer of a party can never win an election in mother Ghana. This is a simple truth, Dr. Nduom.

Though it is not morally right to give a gift to somebody to vote for you, there is never a guarantee that the recipient will vote for you. So it is wrong for you to assume that people who received gifts voted for the “givers”.

Besides if you, as a flag-bearer, witnessed such “bribing” why did you not cause the arrest of the culprits?

Dr. Nduom, in 2008 you got 1.34% of the total valid votes cast and ranked 3rd. In 2012, though you still ranked 3rd, your performance dropped to 0.59%, indicating that you failed to convince voters that you had something good for them. Do not cry foul just because you failed to win anywhere. Put on the cloth of humility, join hands with all other Nkrumahists, you and may perform better if they find it necessary to make you their flag-bearer.

Casting your lot with a petitioner who has gone to court with empty allegations will win you no hearts.

By asking Nduom to join with other Nkrumahists I implied that the Nkrumahist factions as they are today will never get anywhere for as long as they remain splintered. How can at least 3 political parties operate independently, claiming to be lieve in the same ideology, and yet refuse to merge to become one? And then when they fail (and they will continue to fail until they merge) the blame the NDC for destroying their fortunes.

NDC is not a criminal organisation. If it is, as you claim, enumerate their crimes here, and go ahead and cause the arrest of their members.

Earlier, using the CPP which Nduom and Blay were member of and voted to Parliament on its tickets in the 2004 elections, which Kufuor Administration rewarded them, handsomely, with a cabinet post and Deputy Speaker's position, respectively, they, clandestinely, planned for the CPP to form alliance with the NPP, but they were nicked in time and the scheme never materialized. So, now, it is pay-back time to NPP from both of them. Nduom to support the NPP in its quest to have the December 7/8th election results overturned and Blay to use his Newspaper, The Daily Guide, to spread lies and propaganda for the NPP.

Nana Addo saw clearly that he was going to loose big that's why all those schemes such as visiting Israel wailing walls, TB Joshua, local pastors, funding NDP, announcement of Nana Konado's enforcement etc,etc, Come to Makola market and an ordinary seller know how much it will cost for a second round that smaller parties have to align with bigger ones. I have through my work as a civil servant for 15 years been the returning officer for various elections, some before the Electoral Commission was formed.
I always counted the ballots with the representatives of the persons contesting for the positions. It is not my concern when one of the contesting parties gave money to his or her polling agent, an agent he contracted to see to it that I count his votes correctly. Thus I have never ventured to ask a poling agent or a contestant how much was received and how much was paid. But I let it know to all contestants that nobody should buy votes. Since I did not see a poling agent giving money to contestants I have no course to wary.
NPP and PPP had poling agents at all the polling centres in Ghana during the 2012 elections. Thy sorted out the ballot papers and counted them together with the returning officers who were agents of the Electoral Commission.
After the counting of votes at the polling stations and their declaration by the returning officers we are not aware of how many challenge forms were filled by agents of the NPP and PPP stating that because the NDC paid its polling agents more than other parties, then it means that that party has broken the rules. Is the NPP, PPP and NDP all implying that their agents were paid and feed by the NDC. In that instance, it means that NPP, PPP and NDP renegade on the contract they entered into with their agents, which goes to prove that they could not be able to abide by the electoral contract they had with Ghana, if they are to win the elections.
The New Patriotic Party since 1992 has been saying that the votes of people from the Volta Region should not count. It is a perception of the rightist that the people of the Volta Region who have produced many patriots of which Ephrem Amu is one of them and not to mention Tsatsu Tsikata should have their voice heard, which is most of the time denied them, and their votes should not count at all. We are well aware that the votes from the Volta Region will be the comedy to be played by NPP, PPP and NDP at the Supreme Court of Ghana.
If that comedy begin to roll in my view it should be appropriate for the people of the Greater Accra and Volta Regions to get on the streets of Accra and demonstrate, and even to the Supreme Court. When that comedy is in play the people of Greater Accra and Volta Regions should let our judiciary know that they have insulted our human dignity for a long, long time, and one of those was the case involving Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

They and their supporters do not take kindly to any constructive criticism. According to them they dont need any advice because they are never wrong; they are perfect and if you point out any blatant actions that are not in the best interest of Ghana they respond by blaming NPP for everything.

The sad part of our new democracy is that all the other so called political parties are all mute and their leaders never open their mouths to contribute to the democratic process of asking questions and demanding answers from the government and its actions. That is the job of opposition parties; to keep the government on their toes so they do not abuse power.

I am surprised none of the leaders of political parties have raised any questions about Ghana's gold stuck in Turkey. When one person asks questions about this incident he then is the subject of abuse by some illiterate, ill educated, and ignorant writers on Ghanaweb who only see the interest of the NDC, not Ghana, the only priority in their contributions here.

They must remember that only half of the voting population voted for the NDC and mahama promised to pursue an all inclusive policy. I have not seen any signs of that yet but there is no need for insults and abuse when real issues of concern are being raised in this democracy. It calls for appropriate response not abuse.

There has got to be accountability to the people; an explanation about what is going on with Iran and the gold. The voiciferous Asiedu Nketia, Kofi Pratt, ablakwa Okudzeto, and the communication should come out and speak on this matter in the same manner they will be quick to draw from the hips and shoot their political opponents with their sharp teeth.

Nduom has actually confessed that his party can't give polling agents GHC50 or GHC100 each because it will take a huge amount to do this across the 26,000 polling stations. I don't think Nduom is against the payment of sustenance allowances by a party to its party agents at the polling stations since the party agents deserve it. If Nduom's party does not have the capacity to do this, it is his failure and not his justification.
It is for the sake of credibility and transparency that parties have themselves demanded to have their agents at each polling station. The consequence is that, the party agents deployed must be paid for their labour. It is therefore surprising to hear that this has rather discredited the election.
The truth is that, parties like Nduom's party are not viable and should not have been in existence in the first place. This is mainly because party organization is very expensive and it requires contributions from several willing members to run it -- one man cannot run it.
This is one truth that Nduom will definitely not accept. Surely, Nduom also lives in Ghana where "many people don’t like the truth" as he claims.
