This statistic is wrong in Ghana I expect this figure to be around 70%.In a country where almost all the major cities do not get free flow of pipe borne water where do you expect the people to shit probably in the castle.

This is the ministry that holds the secrets of the nation and they are operating from this building if it is a security risk?

My understanding is that the President sometimes work from this building, is that nit a security risk too? The said French Embassy has been in that place when Nkrumah was President, is Mills even worth to carry Nkrumah's sandals who operated from the same area? Who wants to Kill Mills?

This is very disgraceful indeed. It is an eye sore for the world to see such disgusting pictures being displayed in our media. What are all the City Councils in Ghana doing to alleviate this sort of cancer? The Government must ensure that all new homes are equipped with proper lavatories (this should become a law). Anyway, a better system must be put into place to curb this problem otherwise we could lose tourists coming to Ghana; our beaches and surroundings must be kept clean to attract tourists.

We trash our environment, shit openly, we still don't have uninterrupted flow of water and electricity and children are starving to death. Politicians don't care because they steal the money, send their kids abroad for better education, spend uncontrollably on their girlfriends that they can't satisfy and fool around. I will live abroad and only visit you guys. I pay taxes in USA and it is used to develop the country. No water, electricity, and food problem. The environment is clean. Take your development.

I am sure this post is going to unleash hateful responses, but Ghanians must understand that living in dirt is a breathing ground for cholera, malaria and other diseases.

The difference between human beings and animals is the self control that the former excercise.When you have a situation where human beings and animals are urinating, defecating in the open and living in fifth like Ghana, we have real problem.The President doesn't defecate in the public, and neither do most of the ministers do. However, most who do that are the poor majority who don't have places of convenience in their various houses and work places. This is because resources are so inequitably distributed in Ghana so badly.Our policians and other leaders steal the resources that the western world give to us for development and also a tax payer's money. They divert the nation's money into their pockets, build mansions with modern toilets in them so an average Ghanaian, who is left with nothing, can't afford to have a place of convenience. We have a sick nation, full of backward people who can't think. Look! life happens just once. I can't live without enjoying good things; after all all of us will die one day. I will continue to live abroad because my taxes are used to take care of my environment. I have access to unterrupted flow of water, electricity
,gas and quality medical services.The environment is clean and tidy, people are courteous and the roads are good wwell planned. I will visit you for at most a month in a year and endure it, but sorry I will live in a civilized world. Development is not only physical; it has to do with people's social, psychological, emotional, spiritual status.
