Mr. Otchere Darko, I like your very intelligent article and your curiousity.
These are some of the intelligent issues you raised.
And I quote some of them:
".. But respect, it is often said, is earned.."
"..the only reason why we learn history ...... guided by its counselling lessons..".
"Nobody, except NDC members and a few other people, can logically condemn NPP for going to court to challenge the results..."
And the very important questions:
*What people, like me, do not understand is why NPP members, or rather its executive, should interpret the 1992 Constitution the way they like and expect us (people like me) to back them."
"..Article 64 of the 1992 Constitution explicitly allows any aggrieved Ghanaian .....The same article 64 also allows the declared elected President to ....."
And your question:
"...*If so, why “NPP MPs wont be part of Appointment Committee”?"
Yes, now you 'hit the nail on the head'.
My humble and only answer to all your fears and questions is that:
1. The writers of the Constitution Erred!
'They fore-saw the problem, but not the solution.'
In the first place, they should had fore-seen that because of the likelihood of such a future occurence:
1. The date for the elections should had been fixed either in the Months of October or November.
"..Earlier enough for 'such confusions' to be ironed out by The Supreme Court before the swearing-in of The President-elect'.
If that gaffe had been fore-seen and a provision provided for in the Constitution:
Then, your question:
"...*If so, why “NPP MPs wont be part of Appointment Committee”?" is answered.
The NPP leadership is instructing her parliamentarians not to participate because:
1.The Constitution Erred.
And because of this error or omission, they want The Supreme Court to confirm the presidency before they can "..be part of Appointment Commitee."
An aphorism in the Akan language:
"..Wo kyiri Kooko enso wodi ne mma.."
which means;
"..One cannot dislike the tree but eats from it's fruits.."

Did you ever consider to read this part of the article "AS AT NOW AND UNTIL THE SUPREME COURT DECIDES THE CHALLENGE BY NPP AND FINDS THE ELECTION OF THE PRESIDENT TO BE NULL AND VOID, PRESIDENT MAHAMA IS CONSTITUTIONALLY AND DULY ELECTED".
The constitution states that, The declared president shall continue to rule UNTIL the Supreme Court found him/her NULL AND VOID. Which if English language is difficult for you to understand is that, all and I mean all Ghanaians will work with him and resumes their duties.

The NPP is gradually digging it's own political grave. apparently, The NPP MP's have forgotten that, even though they're affiliated with the NPP but their constitutional duty cannot be abandoned in the interest of the party. They are constitutionally mandated to participate in the vetting by the legislature. Boycotting parliament business is a violation of the constitution.

They shd also burn the sea and the rivers and lakes and lagoons to deprive Ghana of fish. Nonsense.

I can compare the petulant misconduct of the NPP to toddlers. Only a person wishing to spill blood on the African continent will foolishly seek to use a court to overturn a presidential election result months after it had been declared. Who will accept the opinion of a judge in a democracy or is it that NPP don't understand democracy and its implication ? NPP's attempt to clutch to idealism will get their own people hurt. When battle erupts here in Ghana, which country will come to the aide of the NPP when all the powerful democratic country frown upon using an elitist court system to meddle in the affairs of democracy? Think NPP people. Think before its too late.
