When you speak, think about your country and not the few people that you may know in Govt or from whom you expect favors. This is a nation of 24 or so million people. Some are not that interested in politics but are citizens and have the same rights as those of you who are fanatics and talk without thinking!. Our President has decided to put too many from his region in Ministerial positions but no alarm bells are ringing for any of you. All you do is talk talk and talk without thinking. Look at Africa today, see what's happening on Mali. Let us care more about what's good for our nation and not a few people. Think before you talk cos political talk, arrogance and selfishness will not augur well for anybody!

Presidential inauguration did not fetch the MP who attended any allowance; but the Vetting Committee will gain at least some allowance; that's what they don't want to miss.

You see, MPs are only joking with the electorates. When some people lost their lives, others got beaten up, some hurt in order to vote and get these selfish MPs there, this is how they are representing the people.

Electorate need serious education on to exercise their voting rights in Ghana. Members of constutuencies should be able to phone, write letters and question the actions of their MPs.

The Constitution should allow the withdrawal of inactive, lazy, selfish
and other MPs like the NPP MPs who think that being an MP is a personal title.

I need selfless Ghanaians to join me to start an educational campaign of awareness. Our aim and objective will be to let electorates to know how important they are - more than the people they vote for. Those MPs should answer to their needs (not private and personal); MPs should hold occasional briefings to tell the electorates about national and constituency developments. Any MPs who do not pull their weight, should be replaced any time the people feel like doing so. Ghana MPs are not accountable to their electorates - they lord over them. This is exactly the opposite of what should be happening.

President Mahama is the president of Ghana, including those who did not cast their votes for him. Those who refuse to accept Mahama as president should tell Ghanaians where they come from; we are ready to deport them to those countries, holes, or bush; but outside Ghana. Peace.

Now, the NPP says it won't take part in the bye-elections at Volta Regions just as it boycotted the presidential inauguration in disguise. Being part of the vetting committee I think rather undermines their petition more than attending the swearing-in of the President. ...Let's wait and see what these act-before-reasoning people will do. Only time will tell.

I think that we must move on as a nation.Whether or not the opposition recognize the president is neither here nor there.Business must go on in all three arms of government.Vetting must be done by all parties who should be present.If the Supreme Court makes a ruling that invalidates Mr. Mahama's presidency,we would simply go back to the drawing board.For now,we must carry as though there wasn't any challenge to his presidency.In the mean time,lets desist from comments that will further divide us or slow down our progress.

If they are not allowed to sit on the committee then they can argue their case that President Mahama has appointed only his cronies to ministerial positions.
