Some people do talk rubbish! Think think and think again. Any Govt without strong opposition fails! When you speak, think about your country and not the few people that you may know in Govt or from whom you expect favors. This is a nation of 24 or so million people. Some are not that interested in politics but are citizens and have the same rights as those of you who are fanatics and talk without thinking!. Our President has decided to put too many from his region in Ministerial positions but no alarm bells are ringing for any of you. All you do is talk talk and talk without thinking. Look at Africa today, see what's happening on Mali. Let us care more about what's good for our nation and not a few people. Think before you talk cos political talk, arrogance and selfishness will not augur well for anybody!

Presidential inauguration did not fetch the MP who attended any allowance; but the Vetting Committee will gain at least some allowance; that's what they don't want to miss.
You see, MPs are only joking with the electorates. When some people lost their lives, others got beaten up, some hurt in order to vote and get these selfish MPs there, this is how they are representing the people.
Electorate need serious education on to exercise their voting rights in Ghana. Members of constutuencies should be able to phone, write letters and question the actions of their MPs.
The Constitution should allow the withdrawal of inactive, lazy, selfish
and other MPs like the NPP MPs who think that being an MP is a personal title.
I need selfless Ghanaians to join me to start an educational campaign of awareness. Our aim and objective will be to let electorates to know how important they are - more than the people they vote for. Those MPs should answer to their needs (not private and personal); MPs should hold occasional briefings to tell the electorates about national and constituency developments. Any MPs who do not pull their weight, should be replaced any time the people feel like doing so. Ghana MPs are not accountable to their electorates - they lord over them. This is exactly the opposite of what should be happening.
President Mahama is the president of Ghana, including those who did not cast their votes for him. Those who refuse to accept Mahama as president should tell Ghanaians where they come from; we are ready to deport them to those countries, holes, or bush; but outside Ghana. Peace.

THE NPP MPs HAVE ALLOWED THEMSELVES TO BE MESSED UP BY THE GREEDY TEAM OF NANA, BAWUMIA, AND OTANKA JAKE. THEY MANAGED TO CONVINCE THEM TO BOYCOTT AND NOT RECOGNISE THE OFFICIAL INAUGURATION OF THE PRESIDENT. SO TO THEM MAHAMA IS NOT THEIR PRESIDENT. NOW MAHAMA GOES AHEAD TO APPOINT MINISTERS AND ASKS THAT THESE MINISTERS BE VETTED TO CLEAR THEM TO WORK WITH PRESIDENT MAHAMA. HOW ON EARTH CAN NPP MPs TURN AROUND NOW TO GO AND SIT ON COMMITTEES TO VET THE PRESIDENT.S NOMINEES. THIS CASE IS SERIOUSLY POINTING TO A GOOD EXAMPLE OF DOUBLE STANDARDS AND GREED. YES THEY WILL ENJOY THE SITTING ALLOWANCE AND OTHER GOODIES. THEY NEED TO KNOW THAT IT IS THE PRESIDENT WHOM THEY HAVE DECIDED NOT TO RECOGNISE THAT HAS MADE THOSE APPOINTMENTS IN THAT "UN-RECOGNISED" CAPACITY. THE NPP MPs SHOULD LET THEIR YES BE YES AND THEIR NO BE NO. ARE THE MPs SAYING THAT THEY ARE READY TO WORK WITH/FOR THE PRESIDENT. SO WHAT IS THEIR STAND ON RECOGNITION AT THIS STAGE. THERE IS THE NEED TO CLEAR THIS WITH THE MPs BEFORE THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SIT ON THE COMMITTEE. IF THIS IS NOT CLEARED THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SIT ON THE COMMITTEES AND THE VETTING COMMITTEE SHOULD BE COMPOSED OUT OF MEMBERS OF THE MAJORITY AND OTHER MPs LESS NPP MPs. (No one should take Ghana for a ride. You YES must be YES and your NO be NO. This reminds me of the song "LET YOUR YEAH BE YEAH AND YOUR NO BE NO NOW..." Sitting and taking part in the vetting directly translates into allowances for the members. Surely and shamelessly, they will take part just because of the money. Now, the NPP says it won't take part in the bye-elections at Volta Regions just as it boycotted the presidential inauguration in disguise. Being part of the vetting committee I think rather undermines their petition more than attending the swearing-in of the President. ...Let's wait and see what these act-before-reasoning people will do. IF NO WHAT BUSINESS DO THEY HAVE SITTING ON A COMMITTEE TO VET PERSONS APPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT TO WORK WITH HIM. SOME YOU WILL SINK THIS COUNTRY SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT READY TO FACE THE TRUTH AND SAY IT AS IT IS. IF YOU CARE THEN YOU HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO GO AND GET THE MPs REVERSE THEIR STAND. LET AKOMEAH GET HIS MPs TO DECLARE TO GHANAIANS OFFICIALLY THAT THEY HAVE WITHDRAWN THEIR EARLIER STAND AND ARE NOW READY TO WORK WITH THE PRESIDENT AS THE RECOGNISED PRESIDENT OF THIS NATION. I BEG YOU ...I KNOW YOU ARE FOR PEACE AND HARMONY BUT THERE SHOULD BE HONESTY AND INTEGRITY ON THE PART OF THE MPs. NO DOUBLE STANDARDS. YES SHOULD BE YES AND NO SHOULD BE NO. IF AFTER YOUR INITIAL STAND YOU HAVE A CHANGE OF HEART AND MIND THEN LET IT BE KNOWN AND THEN WE CARRY ON FROM THERE. AKOMEAH'S RADIO DISCUSSION AND JUST MENTIONING SOMETHING IN PASSING IS NOT ENOUGH. The NPP is dead and gone forever. Now it looks like we have a one party in thsi coiuntry, all because of one man´s ambitions to become president at all cost, even though the odds are seriously agsint him.
