While we may not agree with our political oponents, we must realize that we are all citizens of one nation - Ghana, and must be respectful to each other. There is No need to insult others. THE TRUTH HOWEVER IS THAT THE DEC 2012 ELECTIONS WAS RIGGED IN FAVOR OF PRESIDENT MAHAMA AND THE EVIDENCE PRESENTED BY NPP SO FAR IS OVERWHELMINGLY CONVINCING. One cannot therefore say that MAHAMA won the elections which is now being challenged in court. No amount of praising MAHAMA'S personality can take away from the fact that he is enjoying his presidency based on a RIGGED AND STOLEN ELECTIONS. The SUPREME COURT will HOPEFULLY say this in clear terms for all to know the truth about the shaddy dealings and OUTRIGHT ROBBERY that was carried out to ensure that MAHAMA was declared
"WINNER" of the STOLEN ELECTIONS by EC. By the way MAHAMA intends to call 4,800 WITNESSES in the case. What a DISTRACTION and SHAMEFUL TACTICS TO DELAY THE COURT ACTION on a case he knows too well that HE WILL LOSE!! WHAT HIPOCRISY!!! What daylight attempt to make mockery and nonsense of mour Judiciary system!!! THAT ALONE SHOULD TELL EVERYBODY THAT MAHAMA KNOWS THE TRUTH THAT HE DID NOT WIN THE ELECTIONS BUT STOLE IT. That says a lot about a man who presents himself as "afable" and "respectful" This is nothing but hipocrisy and pretence at its highest level. Ghanaians need to look beyond the surface to know the true nature of the character of President MAHAMA. He is simply a highly polished CROOK who will STEAL to get what he wants and put up a nice face!!!

Yes. I think Mahama is right on that score; but it is also implies that the Babies were used and dumped, which is not good.
Someone like Ablakwa is a very good advocate but he was getting overzealous. One example was the press conference in which, he the deputy, was actually introduced by his boss. That was "being used" if there ever was one.
Another reason of their sidelining could be that there were too many Ewes and there is no way Mahama could bring in "new" blood if some were not dumped.
Nevertheless I think Ablakwa has potential and was very competent unlike the others like Fiifi Kwetey and Qurashigah who were merely whistling in the background.
If he ever gets back into power he must be careful of being used as the "tip of the spear" and damage his future.
Segbefia is a great resource and must be fixed somewhere at all cost. The guy looks presidential, and would have been a better veep but for the "too many Ewes" problem.
But people like Twum Boafo, Agyenim Boateng, Quarshigah, Tony Aidoo, Allotey Jacobs, Felix Kwakye and a few more should be DONATED to another party if possible.
On the whole the article is good but it was very poorly written with too many REPITITIONS.

C'mon Bokor,Mahama wouldn't be where he's today without the efforts of these"babies with sharp teeth" and "evil dwarfs" to counter the vicious attacks (on Egya Atta and NDC)by NPP attack dogs and their rented press. And yours truly remembers warning NDC honchos not to hide their tails between their legs at the Castle, but to counter attack. That was not the time for FAMA NYAME songs.
To Egya Atta's credit,he stayed above the political fray(as a president he had to),but also came to realize that, dealing with an opposition group with a disfigured past(the terrorist Mate Meho-NLM,PFP,Afrifa's coup, tribalism and tribal hegemony, greed and venality),there had to be a strong response from the NDC. Otherwise,he and his party would have had to vacate the Castle without a fight.
Politics is not for the faint-hearted,priests and pastors whose favorite song is FAMA NYAME.These folks - including fraudulent ones - preach about HEAVEN,while politicians have to create conditions that will provide food, shelter, schools and other infrastructure on this earth - HERE AND NOW.
Political fights have bedeviled all societies throughout history(checkout BRUTUS and CAESAR,American presidential elections in the 19th Century and in 2013.South Korea's National Assembly and that of Italy sometimes look like a zoo.And John Bull's elections now resemble Uncle Sam's.
Of course, there should a line drawn somewhere - like utilizing violence to achieve political goals. At the same time, few politicians want to go the Jimmy Carter route(they will be better off entering the priesthood).
Smart politicians should use the carrot and stick - or as Theodore Roosevelt said:"Speak softly and carry a big stick".Also, the GOOD BOOK tells us that,"THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERYTHING AND A SEASON FOR EVERY ACTIVITY UNDER THE HEAVEN.A TIME TO TEAR AND A TIME TO MEND,A TIME TO BE SILENT AND A TIME TO SPEAK."
Niccolo Machiavelli is watching Mahama, for he knows if the President gets rid of the attack dogs,he does so at his own peril.Of course,NPP would love that.

the issue is that evil succeeds when good men do nothing and that is typical of the selection so far apart from the fact that intellectually all are inferior to the president so has secured poltroons who will do him bidding without challenging the merits ie easier to also steal. none of them could take a decision without calling a 500man committee or counsel hoping that at least one would oppose so like pointus Pilate they wash their hands of any blame for their non action and corruption . the old tricks of the incompetent and weak characters with no true leadership . yes capable men and women with no balls to act as they lack justice, wisdom and enlightenment

While I agreed in part with the autor, I would very much love to see Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa at the forefront of governance. The "former" deputy minister of information performed creditably that,he was even unjustifiably accused by some NDC folks as out-classing his superious starting from Zita Okakoi to the immediate former minister of information,Mr Fritz Baffour.
Granted that those unfounded accusations were true, what stops Ablakwa's superious from pulling their weight instead of trying to bring him(Ablakwa) down to their non-performing level?.The truth of the matter is,Ablakwa was and is a good resercher that was why he always seems to be on top of his game. The same could be said of Fiffi kwatey, deputy minister of finance and economic planning.
The duo were the first respondents to NPP's vile machinations at all times thereby denying NPP enough fertile ground to operate by deceiving Ghanainas; so they deserve our praise. The least we can do is to let them maintain their positions if promotion is not on the table.
Talking about promotion reminds me of the rumour making ruounds that Haruna Iddrisu is going to head the newly created miniter of Gas and oil.Haruna Iddrisu was or is the minister of communications. If this rumour is confirmed, then thhe president stand to be accused of playing tribal politics and the performance of Haruna Iddrisu would be subjected to myocroscopic lens to find out whether he truly merit that position while his colleagues face demotion.WE should not forget that ,the president,John Mahamma held that portfolio(communication) prior to becoming vice president.
John mahama and Haruna Iddrisu went to britain soon after 2009 ostensibly to nullify Vodafone contract but they returned changed persons. What happened in britain remains a mistry.Since that episode,John Mahamma found Haruna Iddrisu a trusted person to do business with so john handed over his former portfolio(communication) to Haruna Iddrisu and now Oil and GAs?????.Himmmmmmmmmm.

Even in the comment that I have made above one can seed the operative word "they" being used in several areas. It would be absurd to substitute "their" for "they" in the comment above.
