When, did the likes of Asiedu Nketia and his connoisseurs in government realize the need to accord Mr Rawlings the respect he deserves as the founder of the NDC party? Why have the regional ministers and even the chiefs in the Volta region suddenly seen the need to intervene and reconcile the NDC, when they were better positioned to have done that in the past or even prevent the conundrum from exacerbating this far? “Lead us not to temptation” is always a wiser prayer in politics than “deliver us from evil”. Professor Atta Mills and the NDC leadership had spurned numerous chances and time offered them to restore peace and harmony in the NDC. The acts and omissions of some party leaders and government officials clearly pointed to a well-orchestrated political agenda to intimidate, humiliate and vilify the former first couple and as well impugn their credibility and relevance in the NDC. They demonized the iconic figure in the party whose individual efforts and instrumentality won President Mills and his “saints” the power that has now clouded their consciousness like a drug and has caused them to rubbish the cardinal principles of conviction, probity and accountability. President Mills and his “boot lickers” obviously misconstrued the insistence of Mr. Rawlings on the need to respect these values on whose back the NDC rode to power.to mean the latter courted sympathy and garnered support for the presidential ambitions of his wife Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings...

IF YOU YOU DONT KNOW THAT ALLAH IS THE PERFECT NAME FOR THE ALMIGHTY GOD,THEN YOU HAVE TO BURN YOUR BIBLE AND LEARN TO RESPECT;Elohim El, Elah, Alah
In the Bible, God is very often referred to as ‘Elohim’ in the Hebrew language. The ‘im’ in the ending is a plural of honour and God is referred to as ‘El’ or ‘Elah’ in the English Bible with commentary, edited by reverend C. I. Scofield. ‘Elah’ is alternatively spelled as ‘Alah’. The difference in spelling is only of a single ‘L’. Muslims spell Allah as ‘Allah’ while the Reverend has spelled it as Alah and they pronounce it as ‘Elah’. Muslims pronounce it as Allah. Hebrew and Arabic are sister languages therefore we say it should be pronounced as ‘Allah’ and not as ‘Elah’.
When I was in school, I was taught ‘D, O’ is do, ‘T, O’ is to. What is ‘G, O’ It is ‘go’ and not ‘gu’. ‘N, U, T’ is nut, ‘C, U, T’ cut; ‘B, U, T’ is but, what is ‘P, U, T’? Not ‘pat’ but it is ‘put’. If you ask "Why?" The answer is "It is their language". If I have to pass I have to say ‘P, U, T’ is ‘put’ and not ‘pat’. Similarly the right pronunciation for A, L, L, A, H, is Allah.
Jesus (pbuh) cried out Allah Allah when he was put on the cross
It is mentioned in the New Testament in the Gospel of Mathew, chapter 27 verse 46 as well as Gospel of Mark, chapter 15 verse 34 when Jesus (pbuh) was put on the cross.
Jesus cried with a loud voice saying "E’-Li, E’-Li la’-ma sa-bach’-tha-ni?" that is to say, ‘My God, My God why hast Thou Forsaken Me?’ Does this sound like Jehovah! Jehovah! why has thou forsaken me? Does it sound like Abba Abba? The answer is ‘No’. Hebrew and Arabic are sister languages and if you translate "E’-Li, E’-Li la’-ma sa-bach’-tha-ni" into Arabic it is ‘Allah Allah lama tarak tani’ does it sound similar?
This statement of Jesus (pbuh), "E’-Li, E’-Li la’-ma sa-bach’-tha-ni" is preserved in its original Hebrew in each and every of its translation which is available in more than 2000 different languages of the world and in each and every of them, "Allah" is present.
"Allah" in Sikhism
One of the names by which Gurunanak Sahib referred to God is "Allah".
"Allah" in Hinduism
"Allah" in Rigveda Book 2 Hymn I verse II
Even in the Rigveda which is the most sacred scripture of the Hindus, one of the attributes given to God Almighty in Book no 2 Hymn no I verse II, is ‘Ila’ which if pronounced properly is the same as Allah.
Allo Upanishad:
Amongst the various Upanishads one of the Upanishad is named as ‘Allo’ Upanishad in which God is referred to as "Allah" several times.SO MY BROTHER GO AND LEARN HARD OK?

First and foremost, I agree that Muslims need to get their act together and take control of the Hajj. Though
third world countries where the dynamics of passport and visa acquisition in not straight forward, government would always have some
minimal part to play - also because anytime citizens of a country get stranded in another country their government is responsible
for resolving it and because this is an annual affair it is important that particular attention is paid to it.
However, it is also very important that we inform ourselves appropriately.
First and foremost a Christian convention is not akin to the Hajj.
The Hajj is an obligatory pillar in Islam whiles a pilgrimate to Jerusalem (a pilgrimage that Muslims also undertake, though not compulsory) and a convention aren't. So to compare them will be akin to comparing oranges and apples. Also it is noteworthy that the Hajj is not Synonymous with Saudi Arabia.
More importantly, the government actually does concern itself with Christian affairs in an equally important manner - for the government does maintain an embassy in the Vatican, a purely Christrian institution. Muslims in Ghana do undertsand
the need for this and thus do not complain about this patronage to our Christian brothers. Also during Christmas governments does have budget for various Christian activities that do not happen for Id.
All this considered, it is important that comments we make must be both sensitive and informed. The cordial relationship between Muslims and Christians in Ghana is examplary and we must not carelessly detroy that.

Islam is no Christianity; and Islam is no Judaism. Pilgrimage to Mecca is the 5th pillar of Islam, expected of every Muslim who can afford. Affordability is having the means to travel, having the means to cater for you and your family that you leave behind, etc.
When we talk of Islam, we talk of one body; we don't hear of Shi'at not Ahmadiyya. Whether these two to Hajj or not, they go as Muslims.
Neither Christianity nor Judaism has has a laid down ritual that each performs any time as part of the religion. Christians go on tour to Jerusalem, Galilee, and other religious historic lands; but not for any particular religious performance.
Fortunately, both Christianity and Judaism recognize and accept the role of Father Abraham. If the world religions will BE HONEST to each other, I shall rather expect to see Muslims, Christians, and Jews performing the Hajj together, at the same time and at the same place.
The Ka'aba was built by Father Abraham and his only son Ismael, whom God commanded him to sacrifice.
Muslims the world over, at least, do the sacrifice that Abraham did with the ram that replaced his son.
Abraham was, when there was no Judaism; Abraham was, when there was no Christianity; and Abraham was, when there was no Islam. Therefore, Abraham was not a Jew, not a Christian, but he seems, the world believes, Abraham was a Muslim. If Abraham was a Jew, the Jews would have inherited the Ka'aba and his rituals. If Abraham was a Christian, the Christians would have inherited the Ka'aba and Abraham's rituals.
If Christians and Jews want to go on pilgrimage anywhere in the world, it is up to them to start without delay; it will be incumbent on Ghana government to ensure that they go and come back safely as citizens of Ghana and taxpayers.
It was done before - Ghanaian Christians tried going on pilgrimage to Jerusalem. I think they were able to go about twice, and all collapsed because Christianity has thousands of versions and millions of leaders.
Muslims are Ghanaians and taxpayers like any Christians and Jews; and the yearly Hajj performance is a matter between Saudia Arabia government and world governments whose citizens perform the pilgrimage. If the government of Ghana or any government of any country, for that matter, is not invloved in controlling Hajj affairs of her citizens, the Saudi Arabia authorities will not allow her citizens into their country. It is simple.
I have more, but enough for now.

Is Abraham your ancestral grandfather? Have they taught you that in Ketascho? Do you even know anything about Sri I and Sri II and their wise sayings and advice to Anlo Ewes or do you know any of other Ghanaian chiefs and elders, Ga, Ashanti, Fanti or Guan, etc?
Choose your ancestor and inherit the Ka'aba and Abraham's rituals, but do not bothers us with your moronic argument. You are a lost one because, in Africa and in Ghana particularly, to be a real Ghanaian, your ancestor chose and as a result you were born of them and not you choosing your ancestors. You have nothing worth hearing or thinking about nor to say or write about.
Why do you think the yearly Hajj performance is a matter between Saudia Arabia government and world governments whose citizens perform the pilgrimage?
CONTROL, of course!
It has always been about control and control of your thinking and control of your cultural values and even claim to your own ancestral heritage.
You will go on the pilgrimage and come back infused with baraka and then want all others to see the supremacy of your god, your belief and way of life that ultimately is a pathetic copy of what saw in Saudi Arabia and expect Ghanaians to follow you. You are a lost one who does even know who he is and where is going.
Will you and your kind allow others to practice any other belief if you have your way? Saudi Arabia is a good example of an answer to the question. The first and foremost freedom Africans and Ghanaians have even before Abraham was born was religious freedom and from that all other freedoms, so keep your Abraham and all the hogwash you are indoctrinate with, your Suni, Shi'at, Ahmadiyya etc ideas beliefs and practices.
Please, look at Abraham's children and descendants in the Middle East, especially Palestinians and Isrealis. They cannot even live together in peace but they all claim Abraham and Abraham's god. Do we Ghanaian need such and bloodshed when not even the water in Abraham's bloods flows in our veins? Indoctrinated MORON!

The Lunatic Fringe of Chinese Immigrants Must Be Reprimanded-6 Email thisShare This

Following the publications of the earlier articles, (parts 1-5), a handful of commentators have been accusing me for what they (the commentators) perceive as a display of sheer impishness. And, they (the commentators) fret that I am aiming to jeopardise the Ghana-China relations,--far from it. For, indeed, I am only seeking to highlight a potential environmental catastrophe. So, hold your peace, and exercise the virtue of patience, my dearest cynics, because, I am not going to remit my fury in condemnation of the illegal mining by some Chinese immigrants.
Of course, Ghana has established strong links with China with the view to promote the socio-economic accretion. Nonetheless, the rights of the citizens cannot and must not be trampled upon, or compromised for that reason. Truth must be told, the communist China would not allow its citizens to engage in such infamous acts in China, let alone illegal immigrants from say Ghana. Needless to say, illegal immigrants cannot flout the laws in China, for, such offenders would be severely punished, regardless of China’s relationships with the offender’s countries of origin.
I am extremely puzzled to see our men and women who have pledged to uphold the integrity and the sovereignty of Ghana cheaply giving in to some fractious Chinese immigrants who are bent on illegally mining our natural resources and in the process destroying the environment. Why our leaders’ behaving like poodles? Were they elected to protect the sovereignty of Ghana or elected to protect relationships with our ‘allies?
I would like to go with the vast majority of Ghanaians who hold the view that Ghanaian leaders have become so corrupt and greedy that they don't care about the lives of their people and the future generation. Many discerning Ghanaians think our leaders’ are very weak, and moreover, are happy to sell their "birthright" to foreigners to "invade" our land. For if indeed, this is not a visible trace of inferiority complex, what is it then?
Indeed, some of the Chinese immigrants secured authentic visas to enter Ghana, but I am pretty sure Ghana Embassy in China did not grant visas to all the Chinese immigrants to undertake mining in Ghana. In any case, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must endeavour to investigate the granting of visas by the Ghana Embassy in China, per the influx of illegal Chinese miners in Ghana.
It is also incumbent upon the Ghana Immigration Service to put ‘tabs on the illegal Chinese who are bent on laying their hands on our natural resources illegally. This is indeed a serious issue, and must therefore be treated with all seriousness it deserves. Our relationship with China should not deter our authorities from bringing the offending Chinese immigrants to book. And, if we continue to give in to such crooks from China, because of the so-called good relations, it would then be deemed as a form of ‘dependency’—‘colonization’!
We have to put our feet down in our attempts to curb the illegal activities of the Chinese immigrants, and, also take a cue from the stringent measures which were taken by United States Of America in curbing the Chinese invasion in the19th and 20th centuries.
“Large-scale Chinese immigration began in the mid 1800's due to the California Gold Rush. Despite the flood of Chinese immigrants during that time, their population began to fall drastically, because of laws such as the Chinese Exclusion Act and the highly imbalanced male to female ratio.” “Miners in the area often used violence to drive the Chinese out of various mines. While impatient gold-seekers would abandon prospective rivers, the Chinese would remain, painstakingly panning through the dust to find bits of gold.” ’The Chinese have an eye for gold’.
“As time passed, the resentment against the Chinese immigrants in America increased, and eventually, laws such as Naturalization Act of 1870 and the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 restricted immigration of Chinese immigrants into the United States of America. The Naturalization Act of 1870 restricted immigration into America to only "white persons and persons of African descent," meaning that all Chinese were placed in a different category, a category that placed them as ineligible for citizenship from that time till 1943.”
“Also, this law was the first significant bar on free immigration in American history, making the Chinese the only culture to be prohibited to freely migrate to the United States for a time.” “Even before the act of 1870, Congress had passed a law forbidding American vessels to transport Chinese immigrants to the U.S. The reason behind the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 was to prevent an excess of cheap labour. However, the act froze the population of the Chinese community leaving its already unproportional sex ratio highly imbalanced.”
“In 1860, the sex ratio of males to females was already 19:1. In 1890, the ratio widened to 27:1. For more than half a century, the Chinese lived in, essentially, a bachelor society where the old men always outnumbered the young. In order to sustain their population after the Chinese Exclusion Act, there was an immeasurable amount of illegal immigration. Plus, the Chinese had created an intricate system of immigration fraud known as "paper sons." Despite the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, the Chinese population in the United States continued to increase.”
“Although, after the population reached its peak in 1890 with 107,488 people, the Chinese population began its steady decline. These descending numbers reflected not only the severing effect of the legislation on the inflow of Chinese immigrants, but of the many returning back to China due to the highly imbalanced sex ratio”(Immigration : The Chinese).
Of course, the stance taken by the American’s to curb the influx of the Chinese immigrants can be deemed as extremely punitive. Nevertheless, to them, such stance was effective in curbing the ‘Chinese invasion’. we(Ghanaians) may not be able to go the way of the Americans, however, we can still manage to thwart the activities of the Chinese illegal miners . We can achieve this by collaborative effort, involving the central government ; the Ghana Embassy in China; Ghana Immigration Service; the Police Service ;Ghana Minerals Commission; National House of Chiefs and all discerning Ghanaians. Let us come together to uphold and defend the good name of Ghana!
K. Badu, UK.

Someone please enlighten me..but why is government so concerned about one religion's pilgrimage? Do we have a board for Christian pilgrimage to Jerusalem? Let's stop this unnecessary patronage of Muslims. We are all equal!
If you were smart you will know that it for security purposes and for national safety, some of you should get a life.
Really? Please educate me..I don't get it. That if Muslims are not supported with tax payers' money to go on a religious pilgrimage, our security as a nation will be at risk? Come again!
government does not use public funds to pay for muslim hajj.each pilgrim pays his or her fare.Gov only facilitates it.
