For those of us who grew up partly in the North, there is nothing strange to this story. Somewhere early 1990s, a lady in our house gave birth to a bouncy baby girl. But weeks after, the baby became sick and her head began to swell. She immediately was branded an evil child, with scores of neighbors reporting strange dreams involving that child. Few weeks after, the child suddenly disappeared. I only discovered later that the family connived to have her killed and dumped in the evil forest over the suspicion that she was an evil child. Something indeed has to be done. Bravo Anas for putting faces behind this heinous act.

You don't sit in your comfortable chairs and say it's difficult. It has to take a citizen to bring evidence to you. So wha are the police there for and what is their main mandate? Hadn't Ana Aremeyaw brought this evidence, more children will be killed. I am sure there is so many of these cases in the region. I also find something wrong with this, I believe the parents who consult these medicine men should be arrested not just the people preparing the concortion because if the parents don't bring their child, the concortion men will have no idea as they don't go to people's house soliciting. Really these parents are as guilty as the concortion men. Please do this right.

Yes, Anas will not stop and won't be deterred by difficulties that might confront him in his investigating and exposing gravious crimes in our nation, but until the various state institutions empowered to act expeditiously in the face of such exposed crimes and evil of our society are nudged out of their deliberate slumber, unless they are also beneficiaries of such crimes, Anas' evidence will only be buried under heavy dusts. Government's statements on such exposes mean NOTHING unless backed by concrete actions. Gov't's silence on these ( though statements of condemnation were made) is a clear sign sign of irresponsibility. They only eat and have their fill at the expense of the struggling taxpayer and they go to sleep peacefully. They are a bunch of liars and fraudsters.

Sometimes, revelations like this i believe will help the people relieze that not everybody is Corrupt. When all these are said to Anas I will advice people not to blend tribal issues in these. Those pactices mentioned in the north are inhuman but those practicig it are not aware of that. We should educate them and learn them that this will not be tolerated in modern Ghana. So that they can see the reason why they woul be purnished for doing that.

To those complaining that Ashantis/akans do also have certain bad cultures. You cannot excuse yourself by making these comparisons. Killing of chilren must be stoppede irrespective of location.

There's no doubt that Mr. Anas has done another good job.But i am of the view that the said communities should be educated on this matter.This is because ,it's the people who go to the soothsayers and not the vice versa.

EDUCATION is the KEY to stemming out some of these practices; not imprisonment otherwise, trust me, a lot worse would happen. Nothing would be gained by imprisoning these two ignorant aged. It's about time we found solutions that can stand the test of time and smile on posterity.
