Mr Afriyie Ankrah, the disgraced and dismissed former Sports Minister was all over the place this weekend blaming everybody else for the failure of the Blackstars in Brazil but himself. Ghanaians have accepted the Blackstars team and its management wing, GFA needs a change and Kwesi Nyantakyi and his staff at the GFA have to hand over peacefully for a new administration to start over again and the people are not going to settle for anything less.
The root cause of the problem we had in Brazil all came down to money and so much money was collected by the Sports Minister and his so called Ambassadors a proper account of that money is needed.
According to one of the Ambassadors, John Dumelo, arespected Ghanaian Actor, more than $2 million dollars at the time he spoke to some Radio stations has been received from some companies and more money was still coming in. It is estimated that, more than $3 million was collected apart from the money the Ghana government gave to the Blackstars or budgeted to the team, $9.6million.
The question then is; what did we do with the over three million dollars collected by these Ambassadors? The Ambassadors numbered thirteen(13) and some were paid $29,000 each like Becca to go to Brazil whilst others were paid $20,000, John Dumelo, Jackie Appiah and others. While Becca got more than the others, I cannot tell though these people will swear Heaven and Earth they did this voluntarily. This is the kind of voluntary job I will do rain or sunshine. A voluntary job that comes with a price tag cannot be said to be voluntary. A reward for voluntary job usually comes with a certificate of appreciation or a plaque and not a price tag of between $20,000 and $29,000.
Lets even assume the so called Volunteers price tag came to $300,000 for the thirteen(13) of them, Mr Afriyie Ankrah still has to account for the remaining $2.7 million.
Mr Afriyie Ankrah this weekend trying to debunk the rumors that he bedded a Ghanaian Actress/Ambassador revealed that, he went to Brazil with his wife and two children. Did Mr Afriyie Ankrah pay for his wife and children expenses or Ghanaian taxpayers paid for their vacation. Ws Mr Afriyie Ankrah on vacation or he was working? He was collecting at least $900 a day for hotel expense of $750 and $150 per diem when in actual factthis man was not really working but was vacationing with his family. Anyway, that is water under the bridge now, that expense was captured in the government paid Blackstars budget.
What we are asking Mr Afriyie Ankrah to account for is the over $3 million collected from corporate bodies like GNPC, SSNIT, SIC and other government agencies. The said money was budgeted to take care of the 500 suppporters who were housed at an abandoned community center in Natal which Afriyie Ankrah is said to have renovated at a cost of $128,000. Fifty dollars was charged per head for food each day for the 500 supporters though the Caterer said she was paid $20 instead of $50.
The supporters only watched the Ghana opening match with USA at the stadium and watched the Germany and Portugal match on television so we need a refund on their tickets.
We are just not going to allow what happened in South Africa where the Sports Minister at that time told Ghanaians of only 11 million dollars won when we won $14 million and nobody followed it up to happen again. That time the lady Sports Minister took her bodyguard, Driver, Cook and her daughter and billed Ghanaian Taxpayers for them now Afriyie Ankrah and Kwesi Nyantakyi took their wives and children to Brazil and want Ghanaians to pay for them, NOOOOO, "DAABIDA" we will not foot your families vacation expense this time.

What is a lapdog? The Oxford dictionary defines lapdog as
1.A small pampered pet dog.
2.A person or organization which is influenced or controlled by another:
Folks before you aim your projectiles with its deadly chemicals at me for insulting the President, give me a few seconds to plead my case. I will never call even the mad man on the street eating from the REFUSE DUMP a dog let alone the President of our dear country so let's discard the first definition of a lapdog, it does not apply to any human being let alone our humble President Mahama but let's see if the second definition applies to him by using this example here.
"Narrating what happened, Rawlings said while waiting for the start of the programme, he asked Vanderpuije “how soon is the president coming? He said ‘no the president was not coming’ and that he has delegated the Foreign Minister to come. So I said to my brother [Oko Vanderpuije] he can't do that. We have a vice president here. The protocol is such that if he can’t do it he should ask his vice to do it and not his Foreign Minister, Rawlings recalled."
“I tried to call the president and his aides, but he called back and I said we have a vice president on the ground and you can’t send your foreign minister. I told him we’ll wait, he should go and collect the speech and go through it. “The Foreign Minister turned up and said we should start the conference. But the mayor said ‘sorry, the president says you should give your speech to the vice president’… Fortunately and thankfully, the mayor stuck to his grounds and made sure we waited for the vice-president."
Definitely the second definition fits our President's to a "T" when he tucked his tail like a kicked dog between his hind legs and allowed Narcissistic Rawlings to dictate to him what to do. Where in the constitution is it written that it is only the Vice President who can represent the President at a function? Is Mahama a proxy President under the thumb of callous Rawlings? Let's go through Rawlings at the spur of the moment spastic ranting at the function where Mayors around the world were meeting in Accra.
First, the constitution only stipulates that, the Vice President who act as the President when the President travels outside the country or is incapacitated. The President as the Chief Executive of Ghana can delegate anybody to represent him at any function taking into account the importance of such a meeting.
A meeting of Mayors is not above the caliber of a Foreign Minister to deliver a speech on behalf of the President .What protocol was Rawlings talking about? This is a President who at the age of 49,6"3 weighing more than 250 pounds pounced on a 69 year old frail 5"8 Vice President Arkaa all of his one hundred and sixty pounds and beat him to a pulp and this man is talking about protocol? Is Rawlings telling us during his eight years democratic rule he did not delegate anybody apart from the Vice President to represent him at a function?
Second, what does Rawlings mean when he said "we have a vice president on the ground"? The Vice President was not at this function but was at home when he Rawlings bullied the "humble" President to call him to come to the function and this was later revealed in the above quote. "Fortunately and thankfully, the mayor stuck to his grounds and made sure we waited for the vice-president." Yes, Rawlings caused the function to be delayed so that the Vice President can be hurried from home to come to the function but I blame President Mahama for lack of cojones and not telling Rawlings to take a walk and mind his own business and leave the running of the country to him as the voters of Ghana have entrusted him to do.
Rawlings is a control freak and this is the reason why he did not get along with Presidents Kufuor and Atta Mills. He tried to dictate to these two gentlemen who refused to do his bidding and that caused the enmity between him and the two gentlemen.
According to President Kufuor, when he became President, Rawlings on two occasions told him to make two decisions which he took to advice and accepted but when he refused the third time to accept his advice, that is when Rawlings made him his enemy. We don't even have to go through the pressure he put on President Mills whom he thought was a 'SOFTIE' and will do everything he told him and that is when he Atta Mills won the 2008 Presidential elections, Rawlings jubilated and told his friends and staff he is back. President Mills might not have been a good President but he had morals which Rawlings family whatever was left of it did not inculcate in him and as a Professor refused to take orders from an "O" level graduate like Rawlings.
"I told him we’ll wait, he should go and collect the speech and go through it."
-------Rawlings------
I am really at a loss how President Mahama, who before he became President had shown Rawlings he was not somebody to be pushed around when Rawlings one time showed up at his house without prior notice and he refused to allow him inside his house will all of a sudden has turned into a patsy and allowed Rawlings to run his administration.
Rawlings is having his way with Mahama's administration and that is why he Rawlings rates Mahama high as a “humble” and likable” person, but is afraid those “around him” are problematic. One of those Rawlings is calling problematic is Hanah Tetteh who has attracted Rawlings wrath because she was one of those people he Rawlings was counting on to defect to his wife camp when she Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings challenged President Mills for the Ndc Presidential candidate in 2012. Hannah Tetteh who used to be a Rawlings family friend has become a persona non grata.

Narrating what happened, Rawlings said while waiting for the start of the programme, he asked Vanderpuije “how soon is the president coming?” “He said ‘no the president was not coming’ and that he has delegated the Foreign Minister to come. So I said to my brother [Oko Vanderpuije] he can't do that. We have a vice president here. Hanna Tetteh was initially delegated by the president to represent him but was later replaced by the vice president in what ex-president John Rawlings said was in fulfillment of protocol arrangement.
But the Foreign Minister has defended her decision to walk away.
In a statement, which Myjoyonline.com cannot independently confirm is coming from Hanna Tetteh, the Foreign Minister is purported to have said she left the conference only when the vice president arrived and was ready to take over the duties early on assigned to her.
"As soon as the the VP arrived he went to JJ to greet him and other dignitaries (who i had also greeted when i got there). They were all chatting so i slipped out of the door and left to go to Cabinet.
Admittedly i didn't tell all the people i had previously greeted that i was leaving, but i felt it wasn't really necessary to announce my departure..."
Mr. Rawlings in his usual angry reactions alleged that Mrs. Tetteh walked out of a three-day conference of World Mayors after she was told that the Vice-President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, would be replacing her as the person to deliver a speech on behalf of President John Mahama.
Mr. Rawlings said: “I was told that the President was not coming to the start of the Conference. Instead he had delegated the Foreign Minister to come and represent him. So I said, he can’t do that. We have the Vice President here. Protocol is such that if [President Mahama] cannot do it he should ask his vice president to come and open the conference, not his foreign minister. I tried to call the President and he called back and I told him that we have a Vice-President on the ground and he cannot send his foreign minister [to represent him]. He probably wasn’t told that the Vice President was [here], and he said sorry.
“The President sends his Vice-President to order the thing to start and we have to wait for him. She doesn’t even have the patience to wait and sit and join the meeting. She packs up and go because she can’t open it.
According to the former President, Mrs. Tetteh’s conduct was “disrespectful.”
What the hell was Rawlings talking about? Corney, have you ever disagreed with Rawlings when he is wrong?
Why should he ask Mahama to send the Vice President when he Mahama has already asked Hannah Tettey to deputize for him?
What protocol was Rawlings talking about? Does Rawlings want to tell us he never asked any Minister, especially the regional Ministers to represent him during his almost twenty years rule? Was he always represented by his Vice?
Mr protocol beat his Vice President and this "O" level President is talking about protocol?
Was Vice President Biden not available when President Obama sent Hillary Rodham Clinton to President Mills funeral?

Re: rRawlings Must Learn to Shut Up!
Corney,
Are you really comfortable with this your argument? Where in this world would a former president instruct a sitting president on state protocol? What exactly is Rawlings' position in Ghana today? Party founder and what? Someone who used the gun to rob the people of Ghana blind? Someone who collapsed other people's businesses and used state money to buy state businesses for his wife and family?
If he had any sense or personal dignity, he wouldn't even speak in public about anything, but obviously that is not his culture. That is not his upbringing.
This case actually shows a weak president, a kind of yo-yo that is blown by the wind everywhere. it shows how the president and his government are never really prepared for anything.
The only person who comes out with some dignity is Hannah Tetteh. The rest of them do not know what they are doing!
