Mills tried to do something but FIFA came down hard and some idiots in Ghana did politics with it. Players have always said money have been demanded from them and we need to listen. Agya Koo Analysis! That we qualified for the WC and Afcon means the team is not in decline. In our last 2 Afcons we have exited at group stages in sharp contrast to the 8 Conservative semi finals appearance we made before the tournament in Egypt.
In our first 2 WC appearances we made it out of the group staged winning 2 games in each campaign. We have won only 1 game in our last 2 WC campaigns. Take a look at where we sit on the Fifa ranking. The likes of Comoros, Madagascar, Cape Verde have bragging rights over us in recent times and you sit there on TV to tell us our football is not in the decline. That the FA is not responsible for recruiting local players to the team, well that may be partly true because it's the coach who must be looking for the locals and not the FA. But if the FAs consistently makes it their preoccupation to be looking for talents in Europe then they are guilty of not looking within first.
It's so disappointing to hear Painstil question the objective of the save Ghana Football demonstration. But hey I'm not surprised because this is someone ever ready to do the bidding of the FA. We know how FA members bailed you out several times when you got into trouble with the police for assaulting your wife.
We also know that you are eying one of the national team coaching job so of course you will want to be in the good books of the FA.

First of all, every Ghanaian born outside is a Ghanaian first whether or not they hold a Ghanaian passport because the blood line to me is more important than where one is born m, obviously as long as they are proud to be Ghanaian. I don’t believe that Players should given a free pass to Blackstars because they are locals. This is because they have opportunity to prove themselves in CHAN and African champions league and so far they have failed woefully. I can attribute this to the FA and the government to some extent. And finally, those making the argument for locals, what happens if say the 5 best local players get into Blackstars this year and secure contracts to play in Europe, do you then drop them and replace them with new local ones?

The North Africans are doing this very well and South Africa has perfected it. In so far as our league remains below par there is no way our local clubs can compete at international level. Their failures at the CHAN and CAN champions league is testament of how the FA has run down football in the country. The likes of Appiah, Essien, Sule, olele, laryea, gyan, kwadwo Asamoah, John Mensah and even John Paintsil himself were all local based players who first played in our local leagues before travelling out to foreign clubs. We will have certainly missed that golden generation of players if the system of football administration on their time is what we are experiencing now.
