Ghanaians have been urged to eschew laziness and stop blaming government for their woes.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Class News, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Reverend Dr. Paul Frimpong-Manso said while government ought to be accountable, citizens must change their attitude and make the most of opportunities that come their way.

He also encouraged the youth to forget about leaders who have disappointed them and instead focus on harnessing their potential.

“Why are we blaming somebody? It is true that some people have been given the mandate and they have given us promises, so, we have to expect from them and we have to demand from them. They have to be accountable to the promises they have given. But ultimately, whether you have no one or you have someone, you have God, so, nobody has got an excuse to blame anybody”, he stated.

“Out of nothing, we can make something, so, why do we want to blame government who do not have the answer,” he asked, adding: “And let us eschew laziness so we can make it if we get change of attitude and believe that no matter what kind of condition we are in, we can make it”, he added.

In Rev Dr. Frimpong -Manso’s opinion, “some people are lazy. They have put themselves in a certain square and they don’t want to go beyond that”.

“Place value on yourself, read, add something, learn to explore. Ghanaians should learn to forget about those who have disappointed them, especially the youth, they should forget about those who have used them, lied to them and think about the potential they have and see how they can succeed”, he advised.
