‘Produce employable graduates’

President of Data Link Institute, Professor Jacob Jonas Nortey, has called on tertiary institutions to train graduates who can be ready for the job market on completion of their various courses.

He made the call when Access Bank presented a cheque worth two thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢2000.00) to the Centre for Entrepreneurship, Research, Training and Management Consultancy (CERTMAC) of the institute.

He said there is the need for graduates to acquire skills that would be readily available for the market.

Professor Nortey disclosed at the short ceremony that the institute would soon start with the construction of a seven storey complex as a permanent campus at the Shai Hills.

He thanked Access Bank for their kind gesture and appealed to the students at the center to take advantage of the numerous opportunities offered them and improve on their skills.

Relationship Manager, Intensive Banking/Solo Account, Alexander Osei Brown, said they had a call from the Institute regarding the center as such decided to support them with some cash.

He stated that the donation would open the flood gates for the two institutions to have a solid foundation and a good partnership.

Mr. Osei Brown also expressed the hope that the donation would go a long way to support them.

Center Manager, Mr. Lindsey Yiado, added the institute was established as a subsidiary to Data Link Institute.

He said in addition to it being a resource center for students of the institute, it seeks to provide the best quality training services for enterprises and organisations as well as provide management consultancy services.
