Old "Vandals" to Honour Nine

NINE distinguished Old Vandals who have rendered dedicated and meritorious service to Mother Ghana and also shown commitment to the cause of Old Vandals will be honoured at the Republic Day Jamboree being organized by the Old Vandals Association (OVA) of Commonwealth Hall of University of Ghana, Legon at the Commonwealth Hall Gardens on Tuesday, next week.

They are Mr. Paul Kumahor, Managing Partner and CEO, Ernst and Young, Nana Akuoko Sarpong (Shawcross) Agogo Omanhene and a legal luminary and Mr. Annan Cato, Secretary to the Cabinet and one time Director of State Protocol.

Others are Professor Kofi Kumado, Law Professor and Director of Legon Centre for International Affairs, Mr. I. K. Gyasi, former Headmaster of T.I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School, Kumasi and Mr. Willie Fugar, an Accra Legal Practitioner.

The rest are Mr. E.P.D. Barnes, a scientist and Chief Director, Ministry of Interior, Mr. Justice Anin Yeboah, an Accra High Court Judge and Mr. Dan Owusu-Afari of Afariwaa Farms.

This is the second year running that Old Vandals are using the occasion of the Republic Day to honour some of their members who have excelled in the various fields of endeavour.

Friends and relations of the honourees and all Old Vandals are therefore expected to throng the Commonwealth Hall Gardens next Tuesday to cheer these distinguished Ghanaains and to donate generously towards the improvement of facilities at the Vandal City.
