Correction & Apology From Chronicle

Simmons Kewura, Chronicle Brong Ahafo Regional Correspondent, has told the Chronicle that Auntie Christie of Christie’s Sewing Industry is NOT the mother of Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby.

Kewura said he was misled by family members in the family home of Dr. Wereko-Brobby, who admitted to him that ‘Auntie Christie?Eis the name of Wereko-Brobby’s mother. By sheer coincidence Wereko-Brobby’s mother is also called Auntie Christie. Her surname is Amaah (nee Christina Owusu). Christina Doh is NOT the mother of Wereko-Brobby and she wants it to be known that she represents a German company and fairly competed for the tender.

In the light of this development, Chronicle retracts and unreservedly apologises to Mrs. Christina Doh and Wereko-Brobby’s mother, and all parties who may have been offended in any way by the publication. - Kewura/Editor
