Whiles on suspension, the beleaguered NPP Chairman, Paul Afoko has emphatically stated that – under no circumstance will he join the campaign train of the NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2016 polls.

According to him, he will never risk his life to campaign for a leader who spearheaded his ‘unconstitutional’ suspension in the party.

“It will be very difficult to join Nana Addo’s campaign. I can’t do that,” he said.

Mr Afoko however noted that – attacks on Kwabena Agyepong [also suspended] at the party office somewhere last year will not permit neither him nor Kwabena Agyepong to campaign for the NPP.

“What is going on at the party’s head office won’t allow me to join his [Nana Addo] campaign. And I know Kwabena Agyepong will do same. We can’t risk our lives,” he said in an interview with Yaa Konama on UTV’s 'Adekye Nsroma'programme.

Afoko who stll insists he is “not a suspended chairman” of the NPP is however doubtful if he will vote for Nana Addo in the November polls.

“I am not sure I will vote for Nana Addo. My vote is my secret, it’s up to me and my God who I will vote for,” he said.

“NPP is in my blood,” he added.
