The Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and his entourage who are currently on a six-day tour of the Upper West region today visited a 250 million Ghc market facility within the Wa municipality.

Apart from inspecting the construction of the ongoing market, the Chief of Staff, the General Secretary of the NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, his deputy Koku Anyidoho and the regional minister visited other project sites withing the Wa municipality including ongoing road construction including the residency -mango roads, nursing training school amongst others.

The entourage also inspected ongoing works on the community day senior high school sited at Loggu, in the Wa East district which is about 98% complete.

The Chief of Staff and his entourage who are in Upper West region to explain details of the manifesto of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) as well as activate the rank and file to work hard to win the 2016 elections one touch.

Interacting with the media, the Wa Municipal Chief Executive Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha explained that the 30 unit stores including the renovation of the old blocks cost GHC250,00000.

He said each 10 unit store costs GHC956,000 which the first 10 unit store is ready awaiting inauguration.

He indicated that the 20 other stores would be completed by November this year.

He said by November traders would be relocated from Wapaani to the newly constructed ultra modern market in Doble in Wa Central.

He stated that the funding of the construction of the markets came from the Urban Development Grant.

"He said the relocation of the market I'd part of an overall agenda to decongest the old market and allow traders to work in a more friendly environment," the MCE stated."

He said the relocation of the market is one sure way of bringing business to the door steps of the people.

Apart from the market the Mr. Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha said the area had 9 CHP compounds, construction of nursing training schools, construction of Wa town roads, schools and other projects are ongoing in the municipality which when completed would bring relief to the generality of the people in Wa and surrounding communities.

The Chief of Staff is in his fifth day of his six-day tour of the Upper West region would later today engage party supporters and later joint he minister of chieftaincy and culture and member of Parliament for Wa East to launch his 2016 campaign.
