Trans African College unveils new campus in Takoradi

The Trans Africa University College, has opened its ultra-modern Takoradi Campus to provide quality education for students from the Western Region and its surroundings.

Mr Samuel Segbefia, Director of the college said the opening is one of the successes the academic entity has chalked out since its inception in 2003.

Mr Segbefia was speaking during a seminar for multimedia and creative practitioners to highlight the new technological strategies in the media.

The seminar dubbed: “Gathering of Media Professionals,” was organised by the Media and Technology Centre of the college.

The event was to build the capacity of media practitioners in today’s multimedia industry and unveil the college’s new multi-million dollar Takoradi Campus.

Topics discussed at the seminar included; Current Production and Management Techniques, Strategic Media Marketing, Film, Television and Radio Production and Broadcasting Business Solutions.

The rest are Digital Broadcasting Platforms, Social Media Strategies, Relationship Marketing and New Media Technologies.

Reverend Professor Nyarko, Rector of Takoradi Polytechnic advised the youth to take up the many opportunities education offer them to transform their lives through skills acquisition.

He urged them to build careers that could compare them to others around the world.

He said the college has infused in the new era of education with creative thinking and innovation to provide students with the required skills

The seminar has about 200 participants drawn from Accra, Tema, Sekondi-Takoradi and its environs.
