Presbyterian University wins debate

The Presbyterian University College emerged champions of the maiden edition of the Inter-Private University Debate (IPUD) competition organised by TP Consult and the Private Universities Association of Ghana (PUSAG).

Charlene Arday and Kelvin Afrane, representing PUCG, beat Ashesi University College at the finals on the motion “Government policies on expenditure, promote effective infrastructure development.”

The competition, which was segmented into northern and southern belts, saw PUCG edging out the University College of Agriculture and Environmental Studies (UCAES) - Bunso, All Nations University College- Koforidua, Christian Service University College – Kumasi, before setting up the duel with Ashesi University College, Accra who were the winners of the Southern belt.

The other institutions that participated in the competition included Spiritan University College, Catholic University College, Pan African University College, Ghana Baptist University College and Central University College.

Others were the Valley View University College, Zenith University College, Kings University College, Islamic University College, Radford University College and Knutsford University College.
