Equity Assurance supports Takoradi MTTU

Equity Assurance Limited has presented five office desks and chairs worth Ghc3,000 to the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service in Sekondi.

Mr. Kingsley Agyemang, the Western Regional Manager of Equity Assurance Limited, presenting the items explained the donation forms part of the company’s social responsibility -- this is to enhance the police’s work.

He said the Ghana Police Service has been the company’s major stakeholder in its operation, since it depends on their legitimate reports to pay claims to clients.

“Their service to society and the insurance companies is indispensable, hence the need to equip them to ensure efficient and effective delivery of their work,” he added.

The MTTU Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Michael Dandy Dzah who received the items, expressed gratitude to the company for its kind gesture.

He called on vehicle owners to ensure their vehicles are properly insured so that in case of any accident they will not have problems claiming the necessary benefit.

He appealed to individuals, philanthropists and organisations to emulate the example of Equity Assurance Limited in supporting the Police Service.
