1st National Bank mourns Adabraka Mantse

1st National Bank Limited, a member of Groupe Nduom (GN,) yesterday visited the residence of the late Nii Tetteh Adjabeng I, Adabraka Atukpai Mantse, in Accra, to commiserate with the bereaved family.

The delegation was received by the head of Protocol for the funeral, Nii Addy; Chairman for the Funeral Committee, Eric Addy, and; a member of the Funeral Committee, Gifty Addy.

Nii Tetteh Adjabeng I, who was known in private life as Kenneth Kpandi Addy, died on Saturday, 15th March, 2014 at the Sakumono Community Hospital in Accra at the age of 66.

The late chief, whose jurisdiction spanned from the Accra Brewery Limited (ABL) area to Adabraka and Asylum Down, ruled for 17 years.

Speaking on behalf of the bank and Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, President of GN, Head of Risk Department of 1st National Bank, Mr. E.K. Nunoofio, described the late Nii Tetteh Adjabeng as a “visionary and a great man” who dedicated his whole life to serving his people during his 17 years’ reign.

“The demise of the Nii Tetteh Adjabeng I, Adabraka Atukpai Mantse, is not only a great loss to the people of Ga but the entire country,” he expressed.

And as part of its contributions towards the preparation of the funeral, 1st National Bank donated assorted drinks and an undisclosed amount of money to the bereaved family.

The gesture was in consonance with tradition and culture as the bank operates on the land of the late chief.

For his part, Legal and Recovery Officer, 1st National Bank, Richard Nii Oshiu Cudjoe, assured the family of the late chief of their continuous support and assistance.

Receiving the items, Nii Addy thanked 1st National Bank and promised to coexist peacefully with them.

The late chief will be buried on Saturday, 12th July, 2014 at Ernest Bruce Methodist Church at Adabraka.
