Adiembra Number “2” launches a three-year development plan

The Adiembra Number Two community in the newly created Lower West Akim District of the Eastern Region has launched a GHC85, 000.00 three-year development plan.

Launching the plan, Baffour Yentumi Ampofo II, Odikro of the community told the Ghana News Agency that she was the main financier of the projects while the people were offering communal labour.

According to her, the projects envisaged under the plan include building of a local basic school, reshaping of their feeder roads from Danso through Asuotwene.

Baffour Yentumi said extension of electricity to about 12 clusters of cottages was part of the plan, adding that “the rest are the construction of culverts, palace, clinic, boreholes, afforestation and demarcation of Adiembra Number Two lands, which share common boundaries with Asikasu, Asuotwene, Okurase, Danso and Armakrom.

The Odikro said over GHC1, 000 was budgeted to reshape the Danso – Adiembra Number Two feeder road and that the completion of the school block would help provide a spacious and congenial atmosphere for studies, so as to redeem the falling standard of education in the district.

Communities forming the Adiembra Number Two area including Dzakpatra, Alafia Number One and Two and Ofadan-Ayisikrom among others.
