Nsawam Zone Pentecost donates to Nsawam Prisons

Nsawam, Jan. 4, GNA - The Church of Pentecost, Nsawam Zone, comprisi= ng three district branches at the weekend presented assorted items valued at=

about GH¢2,000 to the inmates of the Nsawam Security Medium Prisons. The items include loaves of bread, biscuits, soaps, secondhand shoes=

and clothing and soft drinks.

Presenting the items on behalf of the church, Pastor Mrs Rebecca Asamoah of the Adoagyiri branch said despite being prisoners, the inmates=

were at liberty to serve God. She said their sins should not stop them from worshipping God. Pastor Mrs Asamoah called on the prisoners to learn some trade while= in the prison in order for them to live decent lives when they were released= .. She announced that the church would extend its contribution to socie= ty to hospitals and orphanages in the Municipality.

Assistant Director of Prisons (ADP) Ofori Anoff, who received the it= ems on behalf of Deputy Director of Prisons, Ansong Agyepong, commended the church for the gesture and said it showed that the prisoners were not cut=

off from humanity. ADP Anoff appealed to other churches, philanthropists and charitable=

organizations to also come to the aid of the prisoners.
