New Town drivers support Accra decongestion exercise

Accra, Dec. 31, GNA - The Accra New Town branch of the Ghana Private=

Road

Transport Union has called on the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, to sustain=

the exercise to

decongest the metropolis to facilitate free flow of traffic. Mr S.K. Atitsogbui, Branch Chairman of the Union, told the Ghana New= s Agency in

Accra on Thursday that the exercise is also minimising motor accidents an= d loss of human

lives. He said the exercise should be extended to Tema Lorry Station near t= he Accra Ministries

area, where hawkers and traders had turned the station into a market, mak= ing it difficult for

drivers to operate freely.
