Awutu-Senya MP and DCE presented items to Senya SHS

Senya Beraku, (C/R) June 26, GNA - The District Chief Executive for Awutu Senya, Mr Nuhu Adams and Mr David Nana Labie, Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya Constituency on Wednesday presented some previsions and sporting items to the Senya Beraku Senior High School (SHS). The items include two cartons Milk, two crates of eggs, a bag of rice, a set of jerseys and a football.

The items are to support and boost the moral of the School which is to represent the Central Region in football at the forth-coming National Inter-Schools and Colleges Milo Sports Festival scheduled for Kumasi from July 4-11 this year.

Mr Adams who made the presentation on behalf of the MP at a ceremony at Senya Beraku, urged the players to exhibit good sportsmanship and excel to bring fame to the District and the Region. He reminded them of the deadly disease (HIV/AIDS) which he said has no cure and advised them to comport themselves during the Festival and guard against contracting the disease.

Mrs Florence Prah, Headmistress of the School who received the items, expressed her profound gratitude to the MP and the DCE and assured them that the players would be trained hard to enable them come with success.

She therefore appealed to other corporate and other bodies to emulate the example of the DCE and the MP to support and improve school sports.
