Youth of Kranka commend Driver

Kranka (B/A), Feb 1, GNA - The youth at Kranka in the Nkoranza District of Brong Ahafo have commended a 42 year-old driver for his selfless service to the community.

The Driver, Mr Yaw Adjei, is noted for his readiness to offer his services, especially during emergencies.

Mr Kofi Iddirisu, a spokesman for the youth told Ghana News Agency that if the need arose for a patient to be taken to the hospital, "Mr Adjei is always on hand to do that without thinking of the charge". "Even if after rendering such service and the beneficiary is not in the position to pay back immediately, Mr Adjei gives the person time to settle the debt later," he added.

Mr Iddirisu expressed the appreciation of the youth for his kind and humanitarian services and urged other drivers to emulate him "since such attitude portrays true Christianity".

In a related issue, Mr George Amisare, Assembly Member for Kranka Gyeduase, has commended the District Chief Executive, Mr Kwame Ampofo-Twumasi, for his efforts in provision of school blocks in the district.

He appealed to the DCE to focus also on the provision of accommodation for pre-school children.

Meanwhile the youth have appealed for assistance to enable them to expand their agricultural activities.
