Mr James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, District Chief Executive, commended citizens of the area for forming youth associations at other places with the objective of mobilising funds to support the development of the town.

He said members of the association in Kumasi, Sunyani, Kintampo and Techiman were also mobilising to raise funds towards the development of the school.

Mr Ofosu-Adjei urged the youth to participate in communal labour activities towards any development project that would be initiated in the community to attract support from the government and non-governmental organisations.

Mr Yaw Effah Takyi, Chairman of the Kumasi Branch of the Nkosoo Kuo on behalf of the members presented a stool, a piece of cloth, a pair of traditional sandals and a quantity of assorted drinks to the chief to wish him and his elders well and a peaceful celebration.

The Kumasi branch also donated a 21-inch television set to Mr Yaw Acheampong, Unit Committee Chairman, in appreciation of his hard work and communal spirit in mobilising the people for development programmes. Mr Seth Badu, Headmaster of the Secondary School expressed gratitude to the chief for his immense contributions towards the growth of the school and gave the assurance that the staff would also work harder to improve the academic performance of the students.
