Wulomei lauds Ga Dzasetse for installing new Ga Mantse

The Ga Dangme Council of Wulomei (Ga Chief Priests I) in the Greater Accra Region has congratulated the Dzasetse of the Ga Paramount Royal Stool, Nii Dr. Tetteh Kwei II for installing a new Ga Mantse under the Stool name King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.

Speaking to the journalists in Accra, the Ga Chief Priests (Wulomei) stressed that they recognize the position of Nii Tetteh Kwei II, known in private life as Fitz-Gerald Emmanuel Nii Amoi Tetteh-Quaye, as the legitimate Ga Dzasetse of the Ga Paramount Royal Stool, hence the installation of a new Ga Mantse to replace Nii Amugi Sose II was in order.

According to them, by the Judicial Committee of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs GARHC( Ruling, Suit No. GARHC/P4/2007), Nii Tetteh Kwei II is the recognized Dzasetse, vested with the authority to install a Ga Mantse.

They however dispell the notion that the installation of a new Ga Mantse was wrong, warning Mr. George Tackie-Abia a.k.a Boni Nii Tackie Adama Latse II to stop parading himself as Ga Mantse since the people of Ga State can now boast of a rightful heir to the throne, in the person of King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.

According to the Ga Dangme Council, the authority to select, nominate and endorse a Ga Mantse rest only on the accredited traditional office holders within the Ga Paramount Dzase, Tunma We, Abola-Accra with the Ga Dzasetse as head.

They stated that any breakaway group which has clandestinely teamed up with other desperate and misguided elements within the Ga State being led by some elements in government and some illegitimate chiefs, to hijack every power and authority within the Ga Dzase and Ga State by hook or crook even after a new Ga Mantse was installed must rethink and refrain from such action.

The Ga Chief Priests reaffirmed that the substantive Ga Dzasetse, Nii Dr. Tetteh Kwei II, Head, Leader and Father of the Ga Paramount Stool Dzase, Tunma We, Abola-Accra, and the Accredited Heads, Elders and Representatives of the Paramount Stool Dzase, Tunma We, Abola-Accra have by the installation of a new Ga Mantse, corrected the wrongs that have been perpetrated by some selfish individuals over the years.

In setting the record straight over the matter, Nuumo Kla, Klana Wulomo stressed that a group led by Nii Yaote Oto-Ga who have been blacklisted by the Ga Paramount Stool Dzaase, Tunma We, Abola-Accra, which is the only body mandated by custom to operate as such within the Ga State, cannot assume responsibility over the endorsement and installation of any substantive traditional office holder in the Ga State.

According to him, they the Ga Dangme Council of Wulomei will back the Ga Dzasetse, Nii Dr. Tetteh Kwei II, and the Ga Paramount Stool Dzase, Tunma We, Abola together with all well-meaning indegenes of the Ga State to implement the "Final Ruling" in the Application for review on the 1st April 2014 initiated by Nii Yaote Oto-Ga II in Suit No. GARHC/P4/2007.
