Women bubble with enthusiasm for soap-making training

Fifty women at Adusah and its surrounding communities in the Ga West Municipality have undergone a two-day entrepreneurial skills training in liquid soap-making.

The workshop, organised by the Department of Community Development, Ga West Municipal Assembly in partnership with World Vision Ghana was aimed at providing the women with an income-generating activity to help improve their standards of living.

The Municipal Community Development Officer, Mrs. Doris Otoo in her address emphasised the need to cultivate the habit of saving and less spending. She challenged the participants to make every effort to harness their Entrepreneurial abilities inside of them so they can earn extra income to support their families.

The Assembly woman for the Mayera Electoral Area, Mrs. Nancy Nettey advised the participants to make use of the skills they have acquired and strive for financial independence.

The workshop was also an opportunity for the women to mobilise themselves and form permanent working groups in the two major communities in the area which are Edusa and Mayera.

This is to make them continue to benefit from other programs and activities under the supervision of the Department of Community Development.

The participants expressed their appreciation to the organizers and appealed to other organisations to provide them with more of such opportunities.
