Volta Hall shows appreciation to residents

The only female hall at the University of Ghana, Volta Hall, has held leavers’ dinner and academic excellence award ceremony.

The ceremony was to appreciate and congratulate leavers of the hall for a successful completion.

Continuing students were also not left out of the appreciation.

The event also served as an opportunity to reward sports women who excelled during the academic year.

For instance, Miss Gifty Dedo Nyako was voted as the Most Outstanding Sports Lady.

A retired fellow of the Hall, Professor Mrs. Ramatu Mahama Al-Hassan, was honoured.

She was presented with a parting gift from the Hall by the Deputy Senior Tutor, Dr. Mrs. Vivian Tachie-Ofosu.

An alumnae, Mrs. Audrey Abakaha, advised the students to take their studies seriously so as to become role models in society.

In attendance were Professor Mrs. Ellen Bortei- Doku Aryeetey, wife of the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu, the Director of Sports, hall masters, award sponsors and parents of the award winners.
