Use right channel to resolve problems-DCE

Kodie (Ash), Oct 20, GNA - The District Chief Executive for Afigya-Kwabre, Mr Kwaku Oppong-Kykyeku Kaakyire, has urged people in the area to always channel their grievances through the appropriate authorities for redress.

Rushing to the media, making anonymous phone-in to FM radio stations and threatening demonstrations would simply not do and that could stoke tension and undermine the peace and security.

Mr Oppong-Kyekyeku, who made the call through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Kodie, said he found it quite worrying the way some of the Youths make scathing and reckless attacks on people in leadership positions on the airwaves.

He said hear-say and gossips would not bring about the desired peace and development especially as the nation prepares for the next year’s general elections.

The DCE noted with satisfaction the relative peace the people were enjoying and asked that they should not do anything that could disturb the peace.

They should act together to protect the peace and security of the District to enable all to carry out their activities without fear and intimidation.

Mr Oppong-Kyekyeku praised the Assembly members for the zeal and sacrifices they were making to bring about progress.
