Undermining is an abomination to God - Rev. Effah

Kasoa (C/R), Aug. 13, GNA - Pastor John Kofi Effah, who is in-charge of Kasoa East District of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, on Sunday said undermining of authority in every aspect of life is an abomination to God.

He said respect and other virtues such as humility is central to the Lord's commandment, therefore, Ghanaians, especially Christians, must endeavour to help those in authority to achieve their goals for the sake of peace and stability.

Pastor Effah, who was speaking at Kasoa on the theme: "Teach me to know" during a sermon to round-off a three-day convention of the districts' women's movement, said they should always resort to settlement through dialogue because it has stood the test of time. He urged those in leadership to tap the knowledge of their subordinates rather than shunning them, adding that, "no one is hopeless in the sight of God".

He also called on Christians to lead exemplary lives worthy of emulation by being honest in their accountability to superiors. "You don't have to inflate prices and pocket the excess or keep to yourself change coming from what is bought", because that amounts to fraud or stealing, Pastor Effah said.
