U/W Akyem District Assembly commits GHC400,000 to health

Upper West Akyem District Assembly is spending more than GHc400,000 to construct medical facilities in the area.

The project include the provision of female wards at Adeiso Health Centre and the construction of Community Health Initiative Programme Service compound at Danso and Kwesi-Nyarko, as well as nurses quarters at Maame Dede.

Mr Derrick Ohene Bekoe, District Chief Executive, who made this known to Ghana News Agency at Adeiso, said the Assembly has refurbished the district ambulance to boost the handling of emergency cases and referrals.

In another development, Mr Lawrence Boateng, Assembly Member for Okorase has presented quantities of iron sheets and cement to Okorase D/A Junior High School for the construction of a staff common room.

He has also installed security light at the Okorase Market and on the streets.
