Two people die in a freak accident in Cape Coast

Two people died on the spot and the other later at the hospital when four vehicles crashed into each other at Duakor on the University of Cape Coast/Elmina highway on Sunday night.

Chief Inspector Samuel Obeng-Addo, the Deputy Central Regional MTTU Commander, told the GNA that the accident happened when a Jaguar saloon car crashed into a stationery articulated truck.

Moments later, a Hyundai van also crashed into the same stationery truck resulting in the driver losing control of the steering wheel and crashing into an oncoming DAF articulated truck.

The dead were the two occupants of the Hyndai van, identified as Yaw Duku 30, who died on the spot and Michael Nketsiah 27, the driver, who was referred to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital from the Central Regional Hospital but died on Monday.
