Traditional ruler commends MP

Aburi-Akuapem, April 24, GNA - The Aburihene Nana Otoobour Djan Kwasi II has commended the Member of Parliament for Akwapim South Mr Magnus Opare Asamoah, for initiating a number of development project in the constituency.

He said that, he was particularly impressed with the completion of the first phase of the Aburi town roads and work on the rehabilitation of Nsawam town roads.

Nana Otoobour Djan Kwasi was speaking when he and his elders conducted the festival at Aburi. Briefing the GNA after the inspection of the Aburi town roads the Chief called on his people to rally behind the MP who is also the Deputy Minister of Transportation and to return him for a second term since he has proved beyond all reasonable doubts that he held the "magic wand" for the development of the district.

He also thanked Mr. Opare-Asamoah for his concern for education through the provision of scholarships to students and the construction of school to improve teaching and learning in the area. The Special Assistance to the Deputy Minister Mr. Dennis Oti-Awere added that currently about 25 communities were being connected to the national electricity grid. Some of the beneficiary communities are Akwamu, Ntoaso, Sumkrom, Nsakye, Kofisa and others.

Mr. Oti-Awere described the first term achievements of the MP as monumental and urged the people to retain him to enable him to continue his good works.
