Akim Wenchi (E/R), March 26, GNA - The Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, and the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Ahmed Baba-Jamal, have cut a sod for the construction of a small town water project system for the people of Akyem Wenchi, Dwenase and Apinamang.

The Akyem Wenchi project, which would cost about GHC 882,651, includes the construction of a mechanized borehole with water treatment facility for the removal of iron in the water.
