Tano North Assembly presents motorbikes to members

Duayaw-Nkwanta (B/A) Dec. 22, GNA - Tano North District Assembly in the Brong Ahafo Region on Wednesday presented motorbikes to 35 members at a short but impressive ceremony at Duayaw-Nkwanta.

The motorbikes, each costing GHC1,700, were provided by government through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, to enable the assembly members, especially those in remote areas of the district, to over-come transportation challenges in commuting from their communities to Assembly meetings.

The bikes would also enable them to visit the localities in their electoral areas as and when necessary.

Speaking to the Ghana News agency (GNA) Mr. Apraku Lartey, District Chief Executive (DCE) said the presentation showed government's commitment towards the welfare of Assembly Members.
