Takoradi Polytechnic receives the Arch of Europe Award

The Takoradi Polytechnic has been awarded the Gold Category of the International Arch of Europe Award for its commitment to quality, innovation, technology and leadership.

The Polytechnic and 49 companies from America, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Oceania and the Middle East, received the International Quality and Excellence Award organised by Business Initiative Directions and BID Group One in Frankfurt.

According to the certificate and release on the award, the Takoradi Polytechnic makes quality a core focus for continuous improvement of management and leadership.

The release also gave prominence to the six-million-dollar Jubilee Technical Training Centre to train Ghanaian students for the oil and gas sector, and said the institution is highly regarded and has been named the Best Regional Polytechnic by the Europe Business Assembly.

Reverend Professor Daniel Nyarko, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the institution was committed to quality and high academic standards, in order to make graduates international assets.

He said the Polytechnic continues to receive international recognition as it received five international awards in 2013.
