Son of Suhum Donates to Hospital

Suhum (eastern Region) -- The Member of Parliament (MP) for Suhum, Mr. Ransford Agyapong, on behalf of a Suhum citizen based in the United Kingdom (UK) has presented medical equipment worth ?280 million to the Suhum Government Hospital.

The items included a digital blood pressure monitor, diabetic testing strips, dental tools, theatre instruments, gauze, bandages and ECG machine for testing heart conditions.

The donation was the second this year from the donor who wants to remain anonymous.

Presenting the equipment the MP expressed hope that the items would be managed to encourage the donor to provide more items needed to improve the health delivery service of patients who seek medical attention at the hospital.

Receiving the items, the medical officer in charge of the Suhum Hospital, Dr. Kafui Setsofia, thanked the donor and urged others to emulate the donor's example.

He appealed to the Ministry of Health for a bigger fried to enable them store more blood and an ambulance to attend to serious road accident cases.
