Six pupils arrested for starting fire

Ho, Jan. 03, GNA- Six pupils were on Thursday arrested by the Ho Municipal Fire Service for allegedly setting fire to the Kabakaba Hill overlooking the Ho municipality. Elorm Gbortsu, Godknows Nomosua, Adade Divine, Amuzu Bright, Atiga Reuben and Fred Amuzdi aged between 11 and 15 years were said to be hunting for rats.

Mr Addo Sackutey, Ho Municipal Fire Officer, who brought the suspects to the offices of the Ghana News Agency, said the culprits were arrested upon a tip-off and handed over to the Ho Municipal Police for advice.

He said Adade was arrested by some residents of the Ho 17 area and handed over to Firemen who rushed to the area in response to a call. Mr Sackutey said Adade took the Firemen to the houses of the other suspects who were then arrested. He however said one Torkpli Francis Horlali, who was said to have hatched the plan is on the run.
