Six best students awarded at Jubilee celebration in Ajumako

Ajumako (C/R), March 8, GNA - Six students who excelled in the 2005/2006 Senior Secondary School Examination and the Basic Education Certificate Examination in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District were on Tuesday given cash and certificate awards as part of activities marking the Golden Jubilee celebration of Ghana's Independence in the district. Each of them had three million cedis and a certificate.

Thirty-nine senior and junior secondary schools and voluntary organisations in the district took part in the parade that was attended by a large crowd of people including chiefs.

Ajumako Mando Senior Secondary School was the overall best in the boys and girls categories of the march past in the Senior Secondary Division.

Ajumako Baah JSS was first in girls division, while Ajumako Techiman Catholic took the first position in the boys marching. Ajumako Catholic Girl Primary took the first position in the Primary division, while Enyan Abaasa District Council Boys was first in the boys' competition.

They were all given certificates and shields, while all the participated schools were also given certificates of participation. The District chief Executive, Mr. Kenneth Obimpong, read the President Jubilee Address.
