Private schools need Government support

Twifo Praso (C/R), April 29, GNA - Private schools need logistical assistance from government in order to enhance learning and ensure overall quality education, Mr Isaac Kofi Nyarko, Founder and leader of the Charity Christian Church on Tuesdays said.

"If these logistics are offered by the Ministry of Education, it will enable students in private educational institutions to benefit from quality teaching and learning," he said this Twifo Praso.

Mr Nyarko said private schools have crucial role to play in the nation's quest to improve the standard of education and the human resource capacity needed for the country's development.

He called on the policy development unit within the education sector to focus on ensuring increased support to alternative forms of learning by the poor and the vulnerable.

He said the support to the institutions should range from: school buses, additional infrastructure, and learning materials.
