President of AFS-Global to arrives in Ghana

Mr Vincenzo Morlini, President of AFS Global is expected in Ghana on Friday for a four-day working visit to AFS-Ghana.

Mr Morlini would be a special guest at a soiree to be organised by AFS-Ghana.

He would also be the special guest for AFS-Ghana awards night which would honour Reverend Allan Okomeng-Mensah, Board Chairman of AFS-Ghana and a volunteer since 1977 and other hard working volunteers of the organisation.

Mr Kwame Otchere, National Director of AFS-Ghana, who made this known to Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday, said Mr Morlini would visit both Cape Coast and Elmina Castles in the Central Region as well as the Manhyia Palace in the Ashanti Region.

The National Director said the Presidents’ visit to the two Castles is to make him see the contribution the former Gold Coast had made to the world in terms of service and development.

He said the visit to the Ashanti Region would enable Mr Morlini to acquaint himself with the rich culture of Ashantis' and also meet AFS-Ghana volunteers from the Northern Sector.

AFS-Ghana is a non-profit organisation that promotes intercultural learning and offers international exchange programmes to students.

The organisation is a leader in intercultural learning with more than 50 partner countries across the globe.
