Police officer appeals to personnel to be professional

Koforidua, April 23, GNA - Deputy Commissioner of Police Stephen Andoh-Kwofie, the Eastern Regional Commander, on Friday urged personnel o= f the service to be professional in their dealings with the public. That, he said, would build public confidence in the police and strengthen their collaboration with the public in their operations. Mr Andoh-Kwofie said since the police act on tip-off and information=

from the public, it was imperative to exhibit professionalism to win thei= r confidence.

He said this when he reviewed the Regional Commander's periodic para= de at the regional command in Koforidua.

He commended personnel in the region for their performance that help= ed in combating crime to its barest minimum during the period. Mr Andoh-Kwofie also commended them on their hard work which had resulted in reduction of road accidents in the area and urged them to continue to improve upon their performances. He reiterated that the police service would not shield any officer who failed to exhibit professionalism and good conduct in the performance of his or her duties.
