Parliamentary candidate says Hohoe District roads are bad

Mr John-Peter Amewu, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) aspiring candidate for the Hohoe-North Constituency, has appealed to the government to rehabilitate the Kpeve-Hohoe Jasikan road.

Briefing newsmen after touring the 103 Polling Stations in the constituency, Mr Amewu said the poor nature of the road was depriving the Hohoe District of its revenue from tourist.

"Tourists have stopped coming to visit some of the attractions in the district while our farmers are finding it difficult to transport their produce to the buying centres.''

He appealed to the government to consider the plight of the people in the district and rehabilitate the road.

Mr Amewu urged members of the NPP to eschew divisive tendencies, remain steadfast and support the party saying, "discipline is our trade mark, learn to tolerate each other, be he your opponent or a member of the Party."
