PROSAG inaugurates Western Regional branch

The Professional Secretaries Association of Ghana (PROSAG), has inaugurated its Western Regional branch at Tarkwa with a call on the members to upgrade their skills constantly to meet the current market demands.

The association’s primary objective is to promote the well-being of secretaries and sensitise them by promoting discipline, efficiency, excellence and hard work in the metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies.

Mr Solomon Aseidu, Regional Coordinating Director, urged secretaries to set their goals and priorities right to ensure recognition.

In a speech read on his behalf, he asked them to know their duties to help them build self-confidence and gain respect.

Mr Aseidu called on institutions to recognise the roles secretaries play and motivate them.

Mrs Christina Kobinah, Tarkwa-Nsueam Municipal Chief Executive called on members of PROSAG to forge collaboration.

The National President of PROSAG, Ms Rosemary Ackah explained that the association, which is a non-profit organisation within the Public Service, was registered in November, 2010.

It aims at amalgamating all secretaries in the public sector to prepare them to be productive in the performance of their duties.

Ms Ackah said the association is currently affiliated to renowned sister organisations across Africa.

She used the occasion to acknowledge the contribution of Mr Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere, who is currently the Eastern Regional Minister for spear heading the formation of the association.
