PRINPAG organises digital migration seminar

The Private Newspaper Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) on Tuesday outlined modalities for the second in the series of seminars in the Telecom Industry, focusing on digital migration.

A statement signed by Kenteman Nii Laryea, Executive Secretary of PRINPAG and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the seminar is on the theme: “The digital migration revolution; its economic prospects for the print media in Ghana.”

The seminar according to PRINPAG would provide an interactive platform for newspaper publishers, editors, as well as electronic and advertising media owners.

The statement said other stakeholders including Ministry of Information and Media Relations, Ministry of Communications and allied agencies in the telecommunication industry will participate.

It added that the forum would offer media operators the opportunity to learn at first hand the latest development in global digital migration and its economic prospects for the print media.

The forum would also create an opportunity for media operators to explore avenues for their advertising revenue mobilisation.

Principal speakers from the National Communication Authority will address participants on the theme: “An overview of the digital migration revolution and measures put in place by government to hit the international telecommunications union 2015.”

Dr Omane Boamah, Minister of Communications and Mr Mahama Ayariga, Minister of Information and Media Relations would be special gussets for the occasion.
